I think she looks absolutely amazing! And well done to her for the weight loss. However, she’s surely got to have had work done to her face? Her face - her chin especially - looks totally different structurally.

What do we think she’s had done?

Yes she had her 50th earlier on in the year , honestly she can pass for 40 couldn't she ?

She’s 50!!! Wow

NoelFurlong · 19/09/2025 13:52

I don’t know if she’s had work done, I don’t think she has.

She looks incredible now she’s lost so much weight - really attractive.

madaboutpurple · 19/09/2025 14:03

When she was on Michael McIntyre's show she mentioned she has a whole host of people to help ,a stylist, make up artist, hair stylist yet I agree she looks wonderful.

SparklyGlitterballs · 19/09/2025 14:10

I love Alison and enjoy watching her on TV. She's done incredibly well to lose 11 stone and I admire her for that.

Looking at the pictures in your link though, and comparing them to pictures of her in the Daily Mail today, complaining about a dress she's wearing, I have to wonder if she's filtered the publicity photos as her face doesn't look that slim and defined on tv, and her slight double chin has vanished. She should be proud of what she's achieved, and it's a shame she feels she has to filter her pictures in any way.

After an 11 stone weight loss Alison will have had some work, why wouldn’t she - she’s on telly every day. Her jaw does look lifted, but that could also be photoshopping.

And not that it matters, she shouldn’t have to say anything to anyone about how she did it but if, as I think is likely for such a large amount so quickly, she used injections as a weight loss tool its a shame she had to tell journalists that it was mostly down to hiring a personal trainer.

Why is exercise deemed to be the morally superior way to lose weight?

Runnersandtoms · 19/09/2025 14:20

Absolutely no way she lost all that weight that fast without the injections.

Edited

It hasn't been 'so quickly' though, she's been losing weight for 5 years, so a little over 2 stone a year or half a pound a week. That slow and steady approach will definitely have helped with lose skin. The loss is just more visible now she's smaller.
It also predates WLI being available in the UK. I'm on WLI myself so this isn't me saying what she's done is 'better' than losing with them, just that I don't think she has used them, at least for the first few years.

Bideo · 19/09/2025 14:30

I've no idea, but I wouldn't have recognised her in that picture.

MistyEyedLoner · 19/09/2025 14:40

Not necessarily - haven't looked at the pictures but big weight loss is facially transforming.

Look at Kathy Bates before and after. You can see she's lost weight rather than surgery but she looks totally different. I think a big part of it is that eyes become more visible after big weight loss which can look very differnt.

That quickly? She’s been steadily losing weight for years now.

SPSN · 19/09/2025 15:52

I think it's just a heavily filtered photo. Just seen photos taken today and she doesn't look like this.

Good make up artist
Maybe forehead botox.
Better hair.

They will have a good make up artist for t v that must make a big difference to how someone looks.

Leave Alison alone. She’s lovely

I have no idea what she's like in real life on tv I find her annoying.

user892734543544 · 19/09/2025 17:31

I adore Alison. Ever since BB she's radiated joy and put a smile on my face every time I see her. As for her glow up. It knows no bounds.

MistyEyedLoner · 23/09/2025 11:49

I met someone who lived near her and saw her all the time in the supermarket. She said she 'always had a right face on her' and acted grumpy, entitled and very much like the Big Do You Know Who I Am. This woman saw repeatedly not just could be having one bad day. No idea if its true and not my area at all.

Made me a bit sad as she always seems so happy and upbeat.

Mind you I guess you can never tell whether a public face is the same as a private face. When Kenneth (ooh matron) Williams' diaries were published, he friends said they couldn't believe how depressed he was in private as he turned up to rehearsals as the life and soul of wit.

Yeah, I guess people put on a professional face. I’m not against people being their authentic selves in their personal lives as long as they’re not directly horrible to others!

I think someone just going about their day in the supermarket shouldn't have to be "on" if they are a personality.

BitOutOfPractice · 23/09/2025 13:29

honestly some people can’t resist tearing women down can they? She must’ve “cheated” with injections, she must’ve had work done, she’s a misery guts…

I don't disagree; and someone wanting to be left alone could easily be interpreted as being 'grumpy'. And 'entitled', well, who hasn't sometimes leaned over someone to get to an item on a shelf, or tutted in a long queue.
But acting 'like the Big Do You Know Who I Am' isn't the same as not being 'on'.

Having said all that, we're obviously getting all this third-hand, so who knows what the truth is.

The biggest shock in all of this is that she’s 50! 50!!!

If I’d given it some thought I suppose I would have worked this out but somewhere along the line I’ve over taken her. The woman doesn’t age!!

I love Alison Hammond and she is a great presenter. She is so much more engaging and interested in the contestants than either Matt or Noel.
She looks amazing, DH has asked more than once how old she was and has been shocked every time when I tell him she's older than me! (Im 47)

Can you show me where this woman has been torn down @BitOutOfPractice ?

If anything, I have been super duper complimentary of Alison. If anything, I was curious about any treatment she may have had as I’m looking to have similar. For instance, I have a double chin but I’m not that overweight. I just wanted to know people’s opinions. I really don’t think this is unreasonable 🙂
