I think she looks absolutely amazing! And well done to her for the weight loss. However, she’s surely got to have had work done to her face? Her face - her chin especially - looks totally different structurally.

What do we think she’s had done?

Can you show me where this woman has been torn down @BitOutOfPractice ?

If anything, I have been super duper complimentary of Alison. If anything, I was curious about any treatment she may have had as I’m looking to have similar. For instance, I have a double chin but I’m not that overweight. I just wanted to know people’s opinions. I really don’t think this is unreasonable 🙂

Quite obviously not all those comments came from you. But there was definitely an undercurrent in your op. Don’t be disingenuous!

She looks amazing, her skin & hair are fabulous!
And her style is lovely.

I don't disagree; and someone wanting to be left alone could easily be interpreted as being 'grumpy'. And 'entitled', well, who hasn't sometimes leaned over someone to get to an item on a shelf, or tutted in a long queue.
But acting 'like the Big Do You Know Who I Am' isn't the same as not being 'on'.

Having said all that, we're obviously getting all this third-hand, so who knows what the truth is.

Yes just out doing the shop or even just not at work. I am sure she is fine if people say hi to her. . She did a weekend with.. on Bbc1 and I really liked that a completely different side to her.

OhTheProblemIsDefinitelyMe · 23/09/2025 19:50

She does look amazing.
I lost 4 Stone Age 48 and it made my face really wrinkly (and my belly & bum! 😫) so I’d love to know how she’s kept looking so good.
Great genetics help I guess, plus the money for expensive skincare! I’m sure I’d look loads better if I earned what she does.
I’d love a night out with her, I bet it would be non stop laughter.

Her bone structure is visible because she’s lost fat off her face and neck.

This. I’m not really that familiar with her but when I lost nearly 8 stones 10 or so years ago, my face looked completely different.

What a pretty lady. Good for her.

Absolutely no way she lost all that weight that fast without the injections.

I lost nearly 8 stones in around 10 months when I was 50. 11 years ago. No injections. Hard work and commitment 🤷‍♀️

ThePoshUns · 23/09/2025 20:03

I don’t watch daytime tv so haven’t seen Alison for a long time, she looks fantastic.
It doesn’t matter how she lost the weight, good for her that she has, it will make a huge difference to her health.

I personally don’t see it at all. I’m not being disingenuous. Honestly Mumsnet is the worst, always searching for negativity when there isn’t any

The picture posted is a filter, she doesn’t really look like that. She may have had some Botox / filler maybe? She’s had her teeth done. I imagine all presenters do or at least have access to great skincare etc. She seems quite open so I think she would just go public with it if she had.

soupyspoon · 23/09/2025 20:48

Seeyouincourtyoufool · 19/09/2025 12:50

Wow she looks great fair play to her i bet loosing 11 stone has made such a difference to her health. I also hate the way we pick over womens bodies and features it just doesn't happen with men does it?

You've never sat and listened to a group of blokes in a pub then. Particularly ones who look after themselves and/or who are sporty types

Zempy · 23/09/2025 20:50

I’ve only lost 4 stone ten pounds and my face is so different, I can’t unlock my phone. A colleague who hadn’t seen me since last Christmas asked me for my name at a face to face meeting. She has worked with me for six years and we are in regular email contact. She just didn’t recognise me.

Alison has lost a phenomenal amount of weight and looks fabulous. Her face has changed gradually as the weight came off, not all of a sudden.

I do wonder what she looks like when she rolls out of bed. She looks stunning as she has a lot of hair and makeup done and I imagine some fillers.

You could say the same about most celebrities. She isn't unique in that whatsoever.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/09/2025 22:12

I've just seen this thread after watching Bake Off and she has laughter lines and wrinkles when she speaks ,(not a criticism at all she looks amazing) so she definitely isn't over doing the Botox if she's had any at all.
I've lost about 1.5 stone this year and my face has already changed shape so much so that a colleague messaged me after a Teams call to tell me how different I look! I have another 3 stone to go so presumably will see a big difference.
She has access to expensive skincare, treatments, diet and a PT so perfectly possible it's all natural. Either way she looks amazing!

...or even most women in their 40s+
I'm.sure most of us look a bit shit different when we literally just get out of bed v going to an event when you'll be "on show" or likely to be photographed, or filmed. I dont wear make up generally but of course I brush or wash my hair and make myself presentable. If im going out, I'll spend a lot more time and effort
