What jeans are we wearing?

Just that, really!

I have broken the skinny jean habit that I’ve had for years, and have been wearing White Stuff Freya jeans, but think I need something slightly wider at the bottom to wear with trainers / boots over the winter.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Not sure if it’s important, but I’m mid 40s, size 12-14 and about 5’ 8, with a bit of a tummy!

Same! Though I tried boot cut again and they’re good. Just the taking up is a pain as even short leg on me require adjusting.

boyfriend/ mom/ dad/ wide leg all make me look too short and out of proportion.

I wish there was an extra short as if at 5’6” you find short leg fits better then I’m screwed at under 5’!

It depends what shoes i'm wearing. My fave shoes at the moment are my moschino mary jane ballet flats, which look best with fitted ankle grazer jeans; they look good with a flared cut of jeans too.
I refuse to wear a full wide leg, never saw a wide leg cut I like.

Urgh the struggle is too real! I really love the look of boyfriend jeans - evoke such a cool and effortless style but just totally unworkable on my bod!

Yes, slightly flared at the bottom jeans are the only other acceptable variant but agree they’re usually too long on me also so can usually only wear with heels or platform style trainers.

I haven't wore jeans for years but have bought a few different Levis from Vinted, I love a turn up and and ankle grazers so they get turned up.
I have 2 pairs of Halara flares but I really only like them in the Summer.
Cords are my go to.

I have 3 different styles, straight cut Levi’s, skinny mid rise M&S and straight cut high waisted stretch with Kevlar for the motorbike (with very big pockets!)

I haven't worn skinnies for a few years now- they're stored away until they feel current again. Mainly wear high waist wide leg ad worn some cropped 501s in summer as well. I"m 52.

I have so many jeans… my favourites are the M&S barrel leg (size down in these), M&S high waisted wide leg and Hush Cordelia. I’m 5ft 4, size 10/12, round in the middle and these styles suit me best. The Hush ones are expensive, but I love them so much I have them in three colours.

in M&S today I saw a lovely pair of horseshoe jeans in a kind of taupe colour. Sadly not in my size and not online yet.

I have currently on the go:
Per Una cropped barrel leg from Vinted
Levi’s 501 Nineties (wider thigh than standard 501s, to accommodate my sturdy legs)- these are my constants, I always have some sort of classic straight-cut Levi’s.
Levi’s rib cage wide leg which have been lovely over summer but will probably go away for winter as they’re quite a faded wash, and the wide legs will tend to attract mud and water when the weather is wet.
