The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Does anyone know when the full list of M&S is coming out? Last year I remember deciding between that and HB and I bought HB on 18th September so I’m assuming it’s soon?

Will likely compare the two again this year though I do like HB on first review.

I'm quite underwhelmed with H&B. There are a few repeats from last year's calendar (including another scalp brush!) and also a few repeated products (two deodorants, two night creams, two face washes). And the increased price is off-putting, though I still think it's a good value calendar. If it gets reduced or if I can get offers to stack, I might be tempted as there's plenty there I would use but I'm definitely not going to be buying full price immediately

I haven't bought H&B for a few years now and I really like that one. Surprisingly few DOD for me, far less than others at 3 or 4 times the price. I have a Jan birthday so think I will pick it up to open then and keep GB for December

I have a massive stash and have bought a lot this last year. An awful lot. 😲🤩
I have the liberty ac as had beauty drop credit to cover the whole cost and it's decent enough to use credit on. Not sure I'd use cash 🤣
I keep relooking when things are posted but if I didn't want it initially and i know I'm not going to talk myself into using the majority of the stuff it is a waste of money. I sell bits on vinted but like someone said very popular items you tend not to lose on, even make a few quid, but some stuff I sell a lot cheaper just to get rid off it. Overall it adds to my balance instead of sitting in my wardrobe forever and a day/year! 😲🤷 and gets forgotten about. I did look back at asos yesterday first few things ok but then a no! I'd rather buy edits,etc. There's loads of gwp,edits,etc released coming up to Xmas.
Although I may buy some if they go on an offer, like fenwicks and gwp. 🤣🤩

I take it the Space NK gwp has finished now. Would have maybe pushed me into buying the calendar if it stacked. I really don’t need it though.

So, having done my audit of the John Lewis AC, it’s still my top choice.
The products in it that are ringing my bells are worth £292, which doesn’t include the perfumes and smaller marine cream as I didn’t know how to calculate those.

Highlights for me….

Trinny London eyeshadow, a brand I’ve wanted to try and the colour is up my street. £20.

Perricone eye cream (£64!) I’ve been using g another Perricone eye cream which is glorious.

Laura Mercier eye stick £28. I love the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick and this colour is great for me.

Kate Somerville exfoliator..I love a face scrub and haven’t tried this one. £25

Medik8 night cream £60. Another brand I haven’t tried that gets a lot of love on MN.

Dermalogica moisturiser , Pai (have their oil cleanser, it’s fabulous) overnight oil, Clinique eye cream are also a pull. The Bumbum cream and La Neige I will gift to DD.

The competition ends at 11.59am today, not midnight. I heard a rumour early access online might be this afternoon and in stores tomorrow (but stores don't have many - apparently stores only are getting 6 each, with Oxford street getting 36).

I've been refreshing the page since this morning. I've learned from the Harrods debacle. 😂

I don’t understand why there has been no information regarding the Space NK fragrance calendar, surely they are either not bothering, or they are not releasing any time soon.

Hopefully we will get early access to the BAC this afternoon, if general release is tomorrow

Last year it came out in October so I think they want people to buy both rather than knowing in advance what's in the FAC and deciding to get that over the BAC. 😁

@JoRaRaRa I just remembered from yesterday I had a sniff of the Kayali Vanilla Rock Candy from the CB calendar. I'm not very keen on it so my impulsive buying it from Vinted was a bad move. It's very very sweet, as the name suggests - tooth rotting gumball candy levels of sweetness. 😂

I think I’ve ruled out HN frag now. I only really want the Kilian so I’ll wait for Vinted. I wish SNK would hurry up though, I hope it’s not full of the usual suspects.

Just sold the Commodity Milk for half the subscriber price of GB. As I’m not a frequent reseller I’m feeling very cheery about that!

My LF fragrance calendar has arrived! Putting it away till December. I am now officially open to buying my Jadvent 😃 Leading candidates at the moment are either the French Pharmacy or the Boots skincare one - for a January opening I reckon skin focused is the way to go. Of course if there are other bargains to be had, I might be persuaded to double up!

I think it will be. I was smelling scents in SNK yesterday. I'm almost certain it will have Phlur, Ellis Brooklyn and DS & Durga in it. Would be nice to have Byredo as that's been absent from all others this year but chances are it's one I have already.

If I buy the BAC, and I think I will, it will have to be very good for me to justify it on top of the two fragrance calendars I've already bought. I do like the new Phlur Cherry Stem - smelt that yesterday. A 10ml of that might persuade me. 😄

I’ve just placed my order for the Liberty.
I was tempted by a couple of the others but I had a £75 voucher for Liberty so decided to set it off against the calendar.

Exciting! Can I ask who delivered it? I ordered it but I think I must have mistyped the email because I have no communication from them at all - I know it went through as I used Paypal and Quidco and they both confirmed.

Ordered H&B. Not quite as good as last year, and I definitely don't want another scalp brush, but it's good for the price all the same.

Now I need one with bath products and shampoo for DD - she isn't into makeup or skincare yet. I used to get her Rituals but it's silly money now.
