Good point. She wasn’t at the late queen’s funeral as she wasn’t First Lady then and visiting the private crypt where she (and monarchs from centuries ago) are buried is a huge thing. I think she dressed and acted somberly for the day with that event in mind and then let rip with sunshine yellow and smiles at the banquet. That’s really respectful of her.

Melania in a tan leather suit this morning. Definitely not stuffy and boring but is it chic or does she look like a sofa?

Interesting. For me, it's a bit too much, but I find that with leather clothes. Perhaps just the jacket or the skirt with a different coordinate?

Just a thought, Camilla’s blue and Melania’s yellow are the same colours as the Ukrainian flag. If you recall Jill Biden and her daughter/granddaughter did a similar thing at the coronation.

Not completely convinced by the leather suit but Melania wears it well.

I will be interested to see what Melania wears later when she goes with Catherine to meet the Squirrel Scout group. A leather suit doesn't seem quite right.

I can’t help but think double leather will be a bit squeaky. But I think she pulls off the colour well. She seems to be a fan of nipped waist hip length jackets at the moment.

Has Catherine upped the fake tan in honour of Donald?

Sorry to barge in , long time follower of these threads which are fascinating.
This is actually a good speculation. I had a de-brief with my grandmother on the phone this morning about what everyone was wearing yesterday. We both love fashion and always talk about things like that.
I am not from the UK and she told me that their local media said the outfits preparation's started 6 months ago and Melania chose yellow so that together with Camilla's blue it references the Ukrainian flag.

Camilla’s necklace last night was the SMALLER three strand version of the Greville festoon necklace. Here she is wearing the full five strand version. Bling-tastic if you can pull it off which I think she does.

Tan suits are all the rage this morning. This one should have stayed in the back of the wardrobe I think.

Oh to have that problem. Seeng that picture I definitely think the necklace was bunched up due to the neckline of her dress. The Greville jewels were a magnificent inheritance for the RF.

I think the Vladimir is being ‘rested’ as it’s quite heavily associated with Elizabeth. I think when Kate is Queen it will be one of her go to tiaras.

Camilla always looks good in pastel colours. I think they suit her better than the royal blues/reds etc.

Is the gent with Kemi her husband? Or her walk into dinner partner? Hes quite dashing!
