There are three queens and a future queen regnant at the UN this week. There may be more - I think Mary sometimes attends UN stuff. Mathilde actually spoke on behalf of Belgium.

Fashion wise it seems like a trip to wear business attire but Mathilde has gone for two dresses including a white one which seems more garden party than serious event. Max’x co ord outfit is a very Max colour but the neckline seems a bit odd - I think a jacket would have looked better. Kudos to Max and Amalia for walking the NY streets in those heels!

Later on Max pinned her hair back which is a really good smart look on her.

I personally love the colour of Max’s coords but I agree that the neckline is not quite right somehow

I'm not keen on Mathilde's dress, I think it looks a bit fussy. I like Max and Amalia's outfits

Maxima has worked as some sort of finance advocate for the UN for years and worked in finance before she married. In fact, all the Dutch princes married clever women - Laurentien and Mabel are highly educated too.

I like Rania in the purple Alexander McQueen, it looks quite luxe but also appropriate.

It is a lovely silk shirt in a great colour with almost invisible stripes but for some reason (designers and their ideas!) the bottom inch or two of the shirt and cuffs has an ombré effect and becomes white/ pale. Not necessary and maybe looks a bit odd when Rania has the shirt tucked in and you only see the cuffs. I also thought it was a skirt but it’s actually wide legged trousers. I think they are a bit ombré too but it could just be shadows from the lecture.

i do love the autumn colours though. Much nicer for now than the pale yellow she wore in the Rania / Melania photo which seems more of a springtime outfit.

Yes, I like the effect, it's quite autumnal as you say, but I think it's a great shirt and trousers combo.

I like her outfit down to the hips!
The green is a nice colour on her, and I like the toning scarf. Pairing it with a knee length skirt doesn't work well imo, but it's very Anne, as are the gloves!
