Kate always looks good in burgundy. Its a new outfit but I'm sure I've seen her in very similar coat dresses before.

Melania's hat looks ridiculous but if I had the husband she does, I wouldn't want him coming too close either!

I was just thinking that Melanie’s purple hat was a bit odd when her suit and shoes are black and she has no bag. So the hat is the only purple thing. Then I noticed that Trump has a matching purple tie instead of his usual republican red one. So is he wearing purple for the king to show he is not representing his party today?

edit - it’s actually navy with red spots but looks purple from a distance. So he got his republican red in there!

Today’s outfit seems to be a tweaked version of what she wore for VE Day in May. Add buttons and remove a few pleats.

Re. Kate’s hair… I don’t love the length or the blonde extensions/topper or whatever she’s had done. I much prefer it about a 8-12 inches shorter, which still would be very long. Her hair always looks fabulous of course, but my personal preference is a bit shorter and darker.

I agree. If I was Camilla I'd have been employing the MN 'Dressing Gown of Doom' and having a nice cup of tea and a couple of ginger biscuits back at Highgrove!

Kate looks good in the burgundy. I love Melania's 'Don't Come Too Close To Me' hat and her suit is very elegant.

Really not far wrong... I helped harvest honey once and remember wearing something similar to this. I like the colour of Melania's hat - I'd call it a figgy purple - but if the whole hiding under her hat thing (which I'm fairly sure she's done before) is supposed to make her unobtrusive and ensure the focus remains on her husband, it doesn't really work!
