I want to wash my face in the shower and remove my mascara. Does this product exist?

I have a gentle foaming cleanser, but it doesn't remove mascara.
I have to use make-up remover first on my eyes, and then I get in the shower and wash my face.

I am very lazy and would prefer to just wash my face once and get everything off. Can I?

Cleansing balm from body shop. Literally rub it onto my eyes and face wash off in shower. It's amazing

Oil cleanser that emulsifies into milk when wet. Mac do one, Dermalogica’s is called Precleanse but it’s pricy.
Im interested in the Elf mascara now as I’m using a YSL one. Not waterproof but hellish to remove and it’s over £30.
Someone gifted me a Dior waterproof mascara once which clumped so badly I looked like I had one single MASSIVE eyelash. Awful stuff.

Massage your face with Bioderma Micellar Gel before getting into the shower and then rinse it off in the shower.

Or the Versed Cleansing Balm is also very good.

I use Elemis cleansing balm first otherwise it doesn't come off

I use a cleansing balm or oil before I step in the shower and rinse it off when I get it, then second cleanse with a face wash

Oh my god. “Soap.” “Just don’t wear mascara.” Why do you people bother posting on the Style & Beauty board?!

I think it does depend on the mascara but agree a tubing mascara is easiest to remove. I use Kate Somerville goat milk cleanser on my (non tubing) mascara in the shower and it gets most of it off, but I do have to clean up with cotton buds afterwards.

Dermalogica oil to foam cleanser.

Have you used Simple moisturing cleanser? I’ve used that for 20 years and recently changed thinking it was boring and I should use better skincare , nothing else I’ve tried take off mascara!

Simple shower gel 🫣, never had any skin issues!

Kchs232 · 08/07/2025 22:11

MAC cleansing oil

Small amount of coconut oil, the mascara just melts off and then use a hot wet flannel to wipe it all off.
