I want to wash my face in the shower and remove my mascara. Does this product exist?

I have a gentle foaming cleanser, but it doesn't remove mascara.
I have to use make-up remover first on my eyes, and then I get in the shower and wash my face.

I am very lazy and would prefer to just wash my face once and get everything off. Can I?

Pai Light Work Cleansing Oil and a Waschie (re-useable cleansing pad)

BuddhaAtSea · 08/07/2025 09:31

I use the ordinary cleanser.
I turn the shower on, then apply a bit of cleanser, massage it till it becomes oil, jump in the shower and then wash it off with a face cloth.

Face Halo (or the primark alternative) and the hot water will do the job, no need for any cleanser or anything!

monicagellerbing · 08/07/2025 09:37

You need a cleansing balm, wipes away make up like magic. Lots of cheap ones that are good, Home Bargains do a dupe of the body shop one which is really good

HonkyDonkey · 08/07/2025 09:39

I agree with pp. You need a tubing mascara.

I've found the elf one to be better than the clinique lash power (thank you whoever recommended it on here). Much cheaper and lasts so much longer.

All of those recommending tubing mascara… what is your favorite brand? Do any of the high street brands do a tubing mascara?

Clinique lash power is great and used to be my go to.

That's until someone recommended the elf lash extndr on here. It's much cheaper and lasts so much longer. It's a different type of brush/wand, but a much better product.

Yes, the Elf lash extndr is great, and is also available in a brown colour which I personally prefer for everyday

Shower gel of the supermarket variety washes my hair, my body and takes off all my makeup in the shower.

paristotokyo · 08/07/2025 09:54

Cleansing oil rubbed on before shower, turns into a milk once in contact with water so you can do this part in the shower. Really easy and gets everything off

Ricoletti · 08/07/2025 10:02

These are the cloths I use with just hot water . They come it lots of colours. I love them and am always amazed that they get off waterproof mascara with barely any rubbing!

I use The Body Shop camomile cleansing balm and a flannel in the shower.

This stuff is amazing!! Literally just melts away

user1471517057 · 08/07/2025 10:11

Liz Earle cleanse and polish takes everything off!
Superdrug Naturally radiant hot cloth cleanser is the same at half the price!
go forth and be happy

Cadburymonster · 08/07/2025 10:12

I like those washable make up remover pads, just put them in the wash with the towels.

MascaraGirl · 08/07/2025 18:04

I use Boots Cucumber wash off cleanser, it only a few pounds and takes mascara off easily.

Cheersmedears123 · 08/07/2025 20:47

The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser has been my favourite. It lifts my make up off so easily.

I thought Clinique Take the Day Off was supposed to be good but it’s absolutely useless. I keep hearing recommendations for The Body Shop Chamomile one so that’s probably worth a try.

Delphigirl · 08/07/2025 20:49

I use Eve Lom cleaner (the one with the push-top) and it gets off mascara but I don’t use waterproof mascara

cerave hydrating cleanser, brilliant stuff!

Same, I use the foaming one, it takes mascara off too

Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm

Use a tubing mascara, it only comes off with water and gentle rubbing and so I remove mine in shower

Yabu to say that removing make up in the shower is lazy

...and also for being insulting

.....and dumb and small-minded.

ElixirOfLife · 08/07/2025 21:16

isthesolution · 08/07/2025 08:06

I just use simple face wash. My mascara (not waterproof) just washes off in the shower.

Same, it works a treat.

EveSix · 08/07/2025 21:17

A flannel and literally any bar of soap...?

RamsayBoltonsConscience · 08/07/2025 21:20

Any kind of double cleansing routine. I’m currently using Yepoda balm cleanse and then bubble wash. Removes all make up.

WonderingWanda · 08/07/2025 21:22

Clinique take the day off. Rub it on then get in the shower and wash it off.
