Well style mavens, that last thread went quickly! Let's hope we get more royal fashion to analyse. I think we need some tiara action, though.

I like it, too. And I really like her shoes. I know it's a result of foot issues, but the absence of outdated stilettos makes the overall look appealing to me.

Yes, I agree. I think it's a nice look and the lower heels do look more modern.

@WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal
It's a pair of pretty dragonflies - and the coat shows them off to good advantage - but they are fairly schematic. To me, the reproduction of anatomical details on the fly and bee brooches makes them special (I think because it indicates that the maker took the time and trouble to look properly at the insects, thus the brooches are a testament to a certain interest in, and care for, the insect world). The stick insect is also glorious - a striking and unusual choice - I wonder if it was a special commission?

I had no idea Queen Camilla had such a lovely collection of brooches and will keep an eye out for more invertebrate jewellery in future.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 03/07/2025 20:59

Yes I know what you mean. Details make all the difference!

ScratCat · 04/07/2025 10:12

I just saw pics of Kate the other day where she clearly got rained on. Her hair went from perfect to completely, relatably, bedraggled. She still looked fab with her flat and frizzy hair.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 04/07/2025 10:22

Yes I noticed that too, and she did still look absolutely lovely.

RomainingCalm · 04/07/2025 16:09

A nice bit of Erdem on Sophie today at the Kent Show. I’m going to ignore the footwear and say that she looks great here.

Maireas · 04/07/2025 16:16

Sophie does look nice. Erdem is divisive on here, but that actually looks good, even though it's a very strong pattern.

Good points, @Cassiope , I really like the arachnid/insect brooches as well.

Sophie looks great. Extra points for eyewear matching her dress!😆

A couple of outfits from Meghan - the Ralph Lauren shirt that she wore to Wimbledon a number of years ago, which I really like, and a fun Farm Rio coord set. The blue really suits her and she always looks good in a halter neck.

I was going to post that second one from her 4th of July post. I really like her look on that video. Beautiful dress and she looks good as she often does when she's dressed right down.

Maireas · 05/07/2025 09:46

I'm glad Meghan is wearing the Ralph Lauren shirt again, that Wimbledon outfit was one of my favourite looks on her. I like the blue halter neck dress as well. She likes that style and can definitely carry it off. Both outfits are a clear shade of blue, which really suits her and makes a change from the very neutral palette she's worn of late.

It's got me searching for Farm Rio on Vinted!

Oh excuse me, it's a set not a dress!

Yesterday was Queen Sonja's 88th birthday, and I had meant to post a couple photos of her lovely art deco style emerald demi parure. Bit late but never mind!

Oooh, emeralds 😍- nice contrast with the red dress.

I’m not sure anyone really needs a lesson in how to arrange fruit on a platter, but Meghan does look lovely while she is doing it! Agree that the shirt combo is good, she does wear a shirt well, and the blue colours do suit her.

Thats a stonker of an emerald necklace!

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 05/07/2025 10:22

Don't get me started @RockaLock!! But that's a discussion for another day, and another thread. 😁

That necklace is amazing! Ingrid really resembles Sonja doesn't she?

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 05/07/2025 10:26

Yes, especially when you see photos of Sonja as a young woman.

Yes, I always think Martha Louise is turning into Sonja as she gets older and Ingrid into ML. Though hopefully with less of a penchant for astrology and dodgy shamans!

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 05/07/2025 11:16

Yes bless her, ML isn't the most savvy or grounded person, is she.

FabulousPharmacyst · 05/07/2025 11:19

The Norwegians are going through a lot right now. I often wonder what the average Norwegian makes of it all. I’ve always thought it must have been an exceptionally strange childhood for MM’s eldest. To be famous for not being part of a family.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 05/07/2025 11:24

Yes that was always going to be tough. Doesn't excuse his behaviours, mind.

FabulousPharmacyst · 05/07/2025 11:33

No absolutely not- goes without saying.
