Well style mavens, that last thread went quickly! Let's hope we get more royal fashion to analyse. I think we need some tiara action, though.

To be fair to Max the creases could be the heat. Remember Meghan's embarrassing damp patches on her trousers.

I had a linen mixed outfit which I ironed carefully every time. It creased horribly. One day after wearing it I stuffed the skirt and top into the bin. Never regretted it.

Gorgeous colour combo from Maxima, although autumnal rather than early summery to my eye.

Not keen on Kate's double stripes, I'm afraid, but at least they're not dark blue...

If I was asked to do an event that required me to kneel in a muddy flowerbed - I would choose exactly that shade of brown.

Alexandra’s wearing the central star element from this gigantic diamond brooch in the middle of her bodice in that photo - which apparently started life as a cloak clasp! QEII also wore it a couple of times. Quite the impact piece.

In that photo of QE2 @SerensterI think she has inherited Mary of Teck’s “more is more” jewellery gene.

That is a massive brooch. I always wonder how heavy they are to wear.

@Serenster Ah - thanks, with that extra info I managed to find a higher resolution image of Queen Alexandra which has mercifully dispelled the unicorn horn/conical mini-bra impression! I can see it would make a grand cloak clasp. It's a pity that diamonds don't photograph well - I always feel they must be more attractive and impressive IRL.

Yes it's always quite apparent when watching videos of tiara events. They really sparkle. Photos are very flat.

Imagine how they catch the light! I remember when Diana came into St Paul's Cathedral on her wedding day, and that Spencer tiara sparkled so much, it looked like it was on fire. Gorgeous..

At the Cartier exhibition, they have lit the tiaras in such a way that they are full on sparkle. One is mounted on dry ice too so that is particularly dramatic.

Camilla does have a bee brooch but this appears to be the smaller sapphire horsefly (!) one with diamond wings. She’s previously worn them together.
