Well style mavens, that last thread went quickly! Let's hope we get more royal fashion to analyse. I think we need some tiara action, though.

I think Kate looks all kinds of wrong today. The colour is awful, the hat is hideous and just looks completely silly - she looks really overdressed and I cringed a bit when I saw her.

She also needs to lose 5 inches from her hair. It’s just too long and childish.

Brigitte Macron looks chic and modern and much better for no hat.

I like what Catherine is wearing although I would have preferred a different colour. The mis match style is quite on trend I think. I think the hat is about the right size.

I agree re Kate unfortunately, but disagree re Mme Macron. She looks uncomfortable

I initially thought the outfit was Self Portrait, with the floaty skirt, I love that style. I think the jacket is a tad too loose, I still think she looks amazing.

Brigitte Macrons dress is lovely, would be nicer without the gold adornments on the sides.

Apparently, Catherine’s outfit is Dior. Harking back to the New Look. Diplomatic dressing presumably.

Camilla in green. Does anyone know if that is the same outfit that she wore to Ascot?

Kates dress colour reminds me of that outfit of Meghans at Trooping The Colour ..the off shoulder one.

I love Catherine’s outfit and her hair. I agree the hat needed a slightly larger brim.

Totally forgot about the Macrons' visit!

Today's outfit is quite lovely IMO, including the colour. But it does come across a bit meh because we've already seen Catherine in something verrry similar not just once but twice in appearances she's made lately.

On its own it stands up well in my book but again it just ends up being quite repetitive.

Never mind. Her clothes aren't the most interesting thing about her and other things hold higher priority.

I don't think you can be overdressed to welcome a foreign head of state, can you? The whole point is you dress to impress and to afford proper respect to visiting dignitaries. I do hope she cuts her hair soon - she looked so good some years ago in the shorter style - but as I said last time I can see why she might not want to open that can of worms. However if she did cut it and donate to charity that might help to avoid rabid speculation.

I like the skirt and jacket. Not keen on the hat. Also not keen on the colour, it’s just a bit bland. Though if the jacket is vintage she doesn’t have much choice. Like the jewellery, could have done with a lovely broach.

Like the outfit and the hat. Don't like the long curly hair - from the back she's doing a Violet Elizabeth Bott - sleek or a tidy chignon would have been a better look.

Flipping love Catherine’s outfit. But then again I love the contrast between a tailored top half and floaty bottom.

The outfit could work if Kate lost the silly hat and the silly hair.

The ride through Windsor was lovely. People waving baguettes amusing.

Said to him indoors. The core of events seems to be shifting from Buckingham palace to Windsor. I can see a day when it's opened to the nation most of the time bar big dinners. Charlie has no personal interest in the building.

I like that hat (I hate the ones she wears with half a bouquet of silk flowers under half the rim even though she suits them). The hair though, I'd prefer something simpler. If I had her hair though I'd probably show it off too.

I'm really hoping for a fancy updo and a new tiara this week.

I think Catherine looks fabulous and appropriate in the floaty skirt / fitted jacket combi.
