I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

I thought the French Pharmacy one looked great last year but unfortunately duty would be added on if they deliver to Ireland. That tends to make it very overpriced. I didn't even look at Liberty as it's madly overpriced to get here - I think because it is over €250?

CB and SpaceNK deliver here and I will check them out. HN isn't appealing.

Of the cheaper ones, Elle looks good but don't think they deliver to Ireland. I'm looking forward to the H&B one as I loved it last year. Beauty Bay is geared more towards younger women. I'm continuing my boycott of Look Fantastic.

I might consider Gruum again as it was good too. I haven't had M&S for a good while but if they cut back on the nail varnish, I will consider.

Or maybe I'll just buy more Lego instead...

All the Neom contents have been revealed. Single brand obviously and those don't tend to have a very high price/value ratio but for those who prefer candles, scent stuff and body products it's maybe a nice one.

@JoRaRaRa as well as Flannels potentially, you have missed out John Lewis. Also Next did a luxury calendar last year. Finally Niche Beauty (based in Germany) often does a calendar worth a look and which they ship to the UK.

Thank you ladies, I have added these to my list 😊 I hope the rumours are true and that Flannels do go back to an AC. If I remember correctly, John Lewis tends to bring theirs out a bit later, I'd ideally like to get one ordered by the end of this month 🤞
People who get more than 1 - I'm interested in this 🤣 do you use them all as an advent calendar or do you raid a few beforehand? Also, how do people do the 12 day ones? I think they're meant to be opened after Christmas, but there is no way I could do that. I was thinking that I'd start it mid November, like a pre-advent advent calendar 🤣

I agree, the Elle one does look good. I might be tempted - I've now warned my husband that I'm buying more and I wouldn't want to be a liar now 🤣

I hope that Harrods do cancel orders for people who ordered more than two. They might be able to do a second drop for anyone who missed out.

That would be a massive poetic justice if they cancel all the orders not just any >2

I got a reply from Harrods and my order is still showing as successful in their system so that’s a relief.
I hope the orders of those who ordered more than 2 do get cancelled. I saw one fragrance calendar listed on eBay for over £800!

Glad I'm not the only one 🤣 I tell my husband that I have to check everything over 🤣 but I put it back until 1st Dec. In fact, I make my husband put it in the loft so I can't give in to temptation.

Last year I bought Rituals most pricey one as my Dec opening calendar. It was okay but I bought it before finding these threads. If it had been the other way around I would have bought a different one.

Also bought Shiseido on a really good discount that is still sat in my wardrobe. I'm really going to have to unbox that this year! 😳

I then bought LF, Boots, Glossybox, ASOS and Harrods H&B. I kept a few things from those and used the rest to make DIY advent calendars for DD, DS and DSis.

Tbh I think only DS really appreciated the gesture fully (he's a boy after my own heart). He's going to be away at Uni part of December (hopefully -results next week🙏) so not doing that this year.

I went a bit mad on the whole thing in the end so this year need to make more considered choices (yeah right). Ignoring the aforementioned Shiseido I want one high end one, one fragrance (Harrods already preordered) and I'm also going to consider Lookfantastic depending on contents.

If no high end ones really grab me and I can ignore the FOMO I probably should make do with Harrods fragrance, the already owned Shiseido and maybe LF. We all know how it goes though. 😂

My Harrods fragrance and beauty calendars are showing as processing and the charge has been applied to my card.
I have been charged VAT which is normally automatically removed so I have raised a ticket and a dedicated team are investigating..
I hope we don’t have the same issue as last year, I am not sure I can do 4 orders again!

Aw that's sounds such a nice thing to do.
I was also thinking of getting a fragrance one and a cheaper one (around £100 price mark) but since I've started chatting on here, i feel enabled to get a fragrance, a premium, and a budget AC and then some if they're on offer 🤣

The T&Cs stated a limit of 2 per person (should have been 1 per person really but I guess some will buy an extra as a gift) so if people tried to do it in separate orders then yes I think they will get cancelled.

There will be seasoned re sellers who use different accounts, emails, shipping addresses and possibly payment methods so they appear like different people. Not much Harrods can do about those.

That's crazy. There are still some from last year listed around the £300 mark.

Not particularly tempted, too many random/ lesser known brands for me.
Also I object to paying a delivery charge on top of the high cost item!

Not sure which part of Ireland you are, but if you ever come to Belfast you are welcome to use my address. We also go to Derry about once a month if thats close to you, so could bring it there. Just in case there is a calendar you really want but works out too much with customs duty etc.

Well, I’m a little late to the party! I’ve had my head in other things but got an email from Harrods today regarding their pre-order (a bit late given the fragrance AC has already sold out!) so thought I’d see where the chat was at…I’ve just spent hours going through a load of ACs.

I’d already decided that I was definitely getting the Harrods one this year. But having seen it, there’s probably only half of the products that I’d like to try. I think I could make enough back selling the other bits to justify it, but still feeling 50/50 about it.

I am more swaying towards the Liberty one, but begrudge paying £275! (Again there are some products I wouldn’t want)

Last year I got Space NK & John Lewis. And I bought a second John Lewis one because of the range of products that I liked in it

I’m still on for Liberty. But if there’s another Jarrold’s 12 days I will be sorely tempted! And if there’s a surprise Trinny one I will be completely sunk!

Hmmm. I already have a lot of what's on that list unopened and unused. I liked the look of it and I'd like the candles, I think I'll just buy the candles separately on Black Friday.

Have signed up for Liberty, Fenwick and Neil's Yard notifications. I've had to pull my new Christmas journal out early in order to keep track. I think Fenwick is my front runner atm as I like the CT lip stuff and use it already, ditto NARS and I really want the Frankincense Intense cream.
