Jarrolds is an independent department store in Norwich, with a lovely beauty hall! They did a gorgeous summer edit this year which I only didn’t buy because I spent all my money in the new Trinny concession!

It’s a really lovely shop, still family owned, in a pretty building. And has a brilliant food hall and deli!

It’s a Norwich institution!

Has anyone had Anthropologie before?

I was first excited, as it’s my favourite store, then disappointed in the Jarrolds calendar. I don’t buy twelve day calendars and it was very late coming out.

@PeachIcedTeaQueen - not had it before but thought it looked pretty good value last year. Certainly a good option from the mid priced range.

The number of calendars which have been snapped up by touts to sell on ebay or vinted.... there were probably no restrictions on the number per customer either so nothing to stop touts buying up 10+

@IDontHateRainbowsIt definitely said on the app yesterday that there was a maximum purchase of two fragrance advent calendars, but I suppose some people will use multiple email addresses.

I know people are free to do this but it leaves such a nasty taste for me. 🤬

Yes I agree , they prob read threads like these and jump on the bandwagon to make money of the back of it . I know people can do as they like but some of the advent buyers save up all year for a special treat and it's not only unavailable, but even more expensive. It p's me off .

I did actually find that after christmas last year there were loads that hadn't sold on ebay and as I hadn't managed to get one in the autumn i got one as a post christmas treat, paid around £300 so more than the RRP but it was worth it to me and a source of great joy in the bleakness of January.

So if people who didn't get one are prepared to wait it out it at least gives them a chance to get one later.
With so many listed up even before the calendars are dispatched this may lead to sellers dropping the price - they are not as popular as they may think although I think in america they have a bit of a cult following.

I'm not impressed with this. The lashify is a wasts of time to me! Bumps the rrp up.

A Kayali and a glow recipe maybe? If so I'm not fussed and I loved Sephora last year! Edit ** not last year, I loved the year before

I'm hoping for another good one from Space NK, I've had it the last 2 years and loved it!

Not at all impressed with Selfridges and Harrods beauty calendar has really disappointed me. Last year it was so good and I was looking forward to the reveal this year, but lots of minis, bright red lipstick (which I never wear) and things I wouldn’t use.
Hoping either Space NK or John Lewis excite me more

Not impressed with Selfridges contents. Not sure if I've just become picky this year? With every reveal the Liberty one is starting to look better so having said I wasn't going to get it and spending my BD advent money on other things I can envisage a scenario where I end up buying Liberty after all. 😂😳

@OvaHereIm starting to think the same as you. Unfortunately I’ve spent most of my beauty drop credit now - I couldn’t resist one of the Diptyque fragrances a couple of weeks ago.

For those asking about the Selfridges Beauty Concierge card I believe you can use it for a 45 minute consultation in store or online. You would normally pay a fee for this which is refundable on the products you purchase. It's not a lot of use in an advent calendar unless you were planning to buy more stuff from Selfridges and wanted a bit of advice.

I'm thinking this about the Harrods beauty one. I keep going back to it and whilst it doesn't really tick all the boxes, for me it's the best one available. There's still quite a few reveals to go though, so I'm going to try to wait.

I feel the same @OvaHere , lots of full sizes, variation, trusted and known products and brands and new things to try in the Liberty advent calendar. And a beautiful sturdy box.

Agreed. I've warmed a bit to the Harrods one. It's not perfect but if SpaceNK and Harvey Nicks don't wow then it might be between Liberty and Harrods providing they don't sell out.

There seems to be a lot of lash products across calendars this year which I'm not thrilled about. I don't mind a mascara but don't want growth type serums or extensions.

It looks really good to me. Major plus is hardly any make-up. Although if I recall correctly, they don't ship to Ireland so not an option for me.
