Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

Revolution Beauty £50 beautyadventcalendar.net/revolution-advent-calendar-2025/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQEY5ao22M

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

@Doubleraspberry that was my thought when I saw the new AB eye cream in the Liberty calendar. I love the face cream and can stretch to that as it lasts me 3 or 4 months but 15ml of eye cream- I'd use one every month.

CorneliaStreet · 24/07/2025 20:18

The idea of a fragrance advent really appeals but often they seem to be very oud heavy (Harrods) or have lots of musky skin scent scents (Space NK), neither of which I’m keen on. The Perfume Shop designer type calendars all seem to have aftershave as well as perfume (and seem weirdly obsessed with Moschino).

Diptyque, Penhaligons, Jo Malone, etc all look beautiful , but so expensive.

If someone releases a fragrance calendar with minis of some of the less crazy expensive designer and/or niche perfumes (Nest, Ellis Brooklyn, Tocca, Maison Margiela, 7 Virtues, Kayali, Gallivant, etc), I’d be very happy!

Doubleraspberry · 24/07/2025 20:25

Sniph have done a couple of calendars and their stuff is very niche.

Totally agree on the ouds. It stops me having any Harrods calendar envy! The Flannels cracker I got last year was mostly far too heavy/spicy for me. But the previous year’s Penhaligons was under £200 from the outlet (last year - I’ve seen the same offer this year for £250 so far) and was glorious, and I’m still using some of my stash from my 2000 splash on Diptyque. Back when we all had spare money from not being able to go anywhere or do much.

Growlybear83 · 24/07/2025 20:28

@CorneliaStreetHave you thought about the Harvey Nicks fragrance calendar? I think that would suit you. It’s been my favourite of the fragrance calendars so far. If you’re a Penhaligon’s fan, then last year’s advent was in the sale at the outlet stores recently, and I bought the previous year’s calendar for just under £200 last autumn.

Doubleraspberry · 24/07/2025 20:30

This is Sniph’s from 2023 to give you an idea.

Thanks, I’ve just had a look at last year’s Harvey Nichols and it looks great, will definitely be on the lookout for this year’s.

Penhaligons for £200 is very tempting!

😮. How have I missed this one? Thank you for the link!

MonkeyTennis34 · 25/07/2025 08:47

Where can I find info on the Harvey Nichols fragrance calendar from last year?

I’m also considering a pure fragrance AC this year but I’m really not keen on ouds/musky scents.

MonkeyTennis34 · 25/07/2025 12:05

Thanks both.
That looks really good.
Not so keen on there being 12 rather than 24/25 days but the fragrances are definitely up my street.
Wonder how much it will cost this year??

While it is only 12 days, there are multiple perfumes in some of the drawers so there were 17 perfumes in total.

I know what you mean though about the 12 vs 24/25 days though. I also had the Gruum and H&B so had ones to open every day and then did the perfume on the 12 days of christmas starting on christmas day.

I did the same and opened my 12 day calendars from Christmas Day. I assumed that was what you were meant to do as they are sold as ‘12 days of Christmas’ calendars, and I found it quite irritating when people were posting the contents in the main advent calendar opening threads. 😆

MonkeyTennis34 · 25/07/2025 14:51

@OchonAgusOchonOh
Ah that makes sense re starting on 25/12 and actually a really nice idea so that the festivities continue after the big day!
And, most importantly, it means that I would have to buy another calendar for the 1st December 😀

Luckily I have the memory of a goldfish so had long forgotten by the time I came to open it😀

you'd definitely need another one. You wouldn't want to be left out during advent.

Addictedtobeauty · 26/07/2025 18:08

Well I bit the bullet on Liberty and have pre-ordered using BD credit, reward voucher and exploding candle credit. Now tempted to cancel BD to see if I get an incentive to rejoin!

dynamiccactus · 26/07/2025 21:34

Over the years I've had

Arran (it was only £50 the year I had it)

Elemis - great products but a bit pricey

Lumene - probably my favourite

Holland & Barrett last year - £45 - great value and I still have a few things left from it

My boss had the one with the candles you had to trim - was that Liberty?

The one that could tempt me this year is L'Occitane. But actually my favourite shower gel is one you can't buy, they only sell it to hotels.

I've also had a couple of selection boxes from TOYL so I think I need to use those up and not bother getting an AC this year.

QueefofSheena · 27/07/2025 17:07

I’m definitely going to try for Harrods fragrance but I’m still not sure about Liberty. Now I know we can order any time and use the BD discount I’ll wait and see how I feel later if it doesn’t sell out quickly, unlikely based on last year

HollyGolightly4 · 22/07/2025 21:17

Oooh I love this thread. I'm hoping for a return to form for Vogue.

Did you have it last year @HollyGolightly4 ? I enjoyed the Vogue opening posts.

The EU friendly time is 9am for the second batch but regardless I remember from last year this was very hard to get. Lots of furious refreshing then pot luck.

I don't think I'll try getting it as a few of the skincare items I would be interested in I've tried. Others I'm not too bothered about and it's quite make up heavy. I've not found a lot of K beauty make up I've gelled with so far bar the Hera lip gloss I posted about in the Chat thread, which is very good.

That said, it works out at around £100 so good value for the amount of products. The K beauty AC's are always popular for a reason. I'll also see what Stylekorean come out with.

I also recall people mentioning refreshing and having payment details saved etc so they could check out before it went out of stock.
I am hoping Boots/Lookfantastic or one of the others also do a K beauty this year along with Stylevanna and Stylekorean to give a bit more choice.
