Meghan managed to sneak in in one of those photos in her cream trousers and striped shirt, which was one of those simple but stylish combos that she did really well.

This one? I hated that - the clashing white-striped shirt with the cream too-long trousers annoyed me. I think she did far better in this (similar) outfit - contrasting top and bottom, properly hemmed and good belt.

Royal Fashion Police has a substack now and has done a Kate at Wimbledon style retrospective. I think some of my favourite looks of hers have been at SW19!

ETA: It's a WIP at the moment as she's still adding to it

What a great summary. I prefer her in a single colour as she really stands out but I do love the Self Portrait outfit as I'm a great fan of their clothes.

Sophie in sea green, a lovely colour on her, and she's absolutely glowing. I'm not sure about the wrap design or the voluminous sleeves, but otherwise, very summery.

Love the colour but it’s too long (again) and there is something weird going on round the boobage area 😆

Maireas · 29/06/2025 19:19

I think she needs some underpinning advice 😉

I like Sophie's dress but I think it's an unflattering shot. It would look better with a more supportive bra.

Oh well, we don't always have to all agree. I loved the striped shirt and Panama hat.

Sidebeforeself · 29/06/2025 19:28

We have commented on Sophie’s lack of scaffolding before. I feel her pain - I can never get a good uplifting bra , but she should be able to !

Thinlyveiled · 29/06/2025 19:31

I don’t think the dress suits her at all. It’s like a dressing gown. Her bra isn’t fitting properly and her posture is really bad . The dress is also too long.

Sidebeforeself · 29/06/2025 19:35

That’s the problem with wrap dresses I find. They are great for hiding lumps and bumps ,but your boobs have to be in the right place

KiIIingMeDeftly · 29/06/2025 19:37

That colour is lovely on Sophie but a visit to Rigby & Peller wouldn't go amiss. She could take Camilla along too, and see if they have a 2-4-1 offer!

PomeloOud · 29/06/2025 19:41

Oh my. That dress is wearing Sophie. And yes, hoik up that matronly bosom please.

In October ? Are you thinking of the right person, he looked ok to me.

My son's hay-fever is always bad in October - ragweed allergy I believe?

Totally agree!

Cassiope · 29/06/2025 19:46

Such a beautiful colour and print, such a shame about the cleavage. But I can overlook a lot for that fabric!

Sidebeforeself · 29/06/2025 19:48

By the way I have a R&P bra. It was fab at first but I fear my boobs have defeated it.

Is it? That's a shame, summer hayfever is miserable enough.

I get two months clear of allergies, December and January. Then it starts with trees, morphs into grass, in the autumn leaf mould. The dogs bring it all in on their coats too 😭

Your tag didn't work so @Maireas might not see it - quoting it but I'm sure @Maireas was just curious as to who you might have been thinking of if it wasn't actually Jack.

Ah-fair enough. I just feel that @Maireasis picking me up on quite minor things. I’ve googled Jack now, and see that he was just a bit charmingly weepy. I remember one of the commentators saying he looked as if he had a cold and thinking how awful to be feeling unwell in such a public arena-maybe they were just sparing his blushes!

That's tough. Also: very high pollen as well as heat today! Let's hope we all stay cool and irritant free 😊

Prince Edward seems to be on a visit to Canada at the moment. It seems very low key, and Sophie remains here, with a variety of engagements.

Saying someone looked "so unwell" on their wedding day, when a 30 second google will shows you no such thing or any report of any such thing, is not "minor", imo.

Edit: Asking you to clarify isn't unfair.

Blimey. Someone said Jack was “not hot”. I said I have always had a soft spot for him since his wedding when I thought he looked unwell. I have since been told that what I thought was a cold or hayfever was in fact tears. Which actually makes my soft spot even softer! Please explain why my post was in any way problematic.

Who said your post was problematic? Your post about him being unwell didn't chime with Maireas's recall, so she asked you, perfectly reasonably, whether you were thinking of the right person. Instead of responding to the question, you chose to try to put her on the spot with some PA nonsense about her not wanting you on the thread, and you have continued again this morning.
