Ingrid Alexandra attended a summer festival put on by two children (obviously some grown ups helped too, but you know what I mean), in a very relaxed outfit.

Did we already see the Queen's electric blue shoes? I wasn't keeping up at the end of the last thread...

Ah yes, that's the dress from the last thread, which wasn't liked, I think it actually looks better in these pictures. I like the shoes, a bit different.

Ah yes was that the one, she was standing a bit peculiarly in that photo I think. I agree it looks much better here, and I quite like the pattern. I think we've seen the dress before as well, quite recently.

Isn't that the dress she wore to Chelsea? I liked it in the photos I saw then. I didn't notice whether she was wearing those shoes with it then.

Love the colour of Camilla’s shoes? Is the heel a little higher and slimmer than she normally wears or is it the angle of the photo 🤔

I think you're right, they're a bit higher and slimmer than usual.

Perhaps Catherine has influenced her. I must say the height of Catherine’s heels is enough to give me vertigo 😆

I'm trying to see if the shoes match the pattern in any way.
I'd quite like those shoes, I wonder what size they are if she's having a clear out!

It's a peacock print so I imagine they pick out one of the colours.

Yes I've had a look too and although it isn't obvious at first (colours are notoriously difficult in photos), looking at these up close I think there is definitely a darker blue in there that pairs very nicely with the shoes. You can see that the dress also fits very nicely with the blue of the chair.

I was just about to say the dress fabric looks very Liberty & according to the article it is a Liberty fabric!

I love the dress and I also love the shoes!

The Queen had a dodgy foot or ankle for a while didn't she so was wearing more therapeutic looking shoes. Nice to see her in these!

It's so easy to get muddled up with all the very many, often quite similar, dresses!

Imagine being the person who has to keep track of all the green coats. 😉

I wonder what will happen to all the clothes the Queen wore for her official engagements over the years. If there are outfits going back seventy years or more it would be a wonderful resource for students of fashion - fabrics, styles, techniques. Imagine having the job of cataloguing it all! A fashion historian's dream job!

Catherine and Sophie looking good today at the Garter ceremony. Not my favourite on Catherine but she looks well and happy.

You can see that in the flesh (along with various others of the Danish Crown Jewels) at Rosenberg Castle in Copenhagen. Here’s a picture I took of the display, with the plain silver disks at the front of the belt showing where the diamonds that have been re-purposed into the tiara used to be.

(There were also a couple of empty spaces in the cases, with a handwritten note stating that the items had been removed for use by the Queen!)

Love the earrings and pearl strands. Also really the outfit itself, except for the shoes. Did she wear the dress recently or am I completely confused? Or did we see it on either Beatrice or Eugenie in black? I feel sure we discussed it quite recently.

I think that I read that it's in the process of being catalogued. Some informal day wear has gone to charity.
