I prefer the Zara one. But I'm not "trendy" so probably the other one is more "in" 😂

AlertCat · 15/05/2025 09:14

I don’t really like either tbh. I would miss handwarmer pockets with a coat that length.

Doggymummar · 15/05/2025 09:16

I don't like either of them. But I'm not the target market for this companies.

LadyDanburysHat · 15/05/2025 09:17

Not keen on either, but the Zara one looks a bit better.

Noshadelamp · 15/05/2025 09:18

I prefer the NL one. The zara one seems more "fussy" with the back pleats and curved hem.
But it depends on what you're after as the styles are quite different to each other.

ImFineItsAllFine · 15/05/2025 09:29

I don't like the curved hem on the Zara one, the NL one is nicer overall.

But they are both odd shapes, I would tend to prefer a classic denim jacket.

SonK · 15/05/2025 09:29

I like the Zara one : )

MaidOfSteel · 15/05/2025 11:48

I prefer the New Look one.

Gettingbysomehow · 15/05/2025 11:54

Be careful with new look. I bought a size 14 jacket from them and when it arrived it would have fitted a size 20 easily. It was not marketed as an oversize garment. After similar incidents I don't buy from them online any more.

DuchessOfNarcissex · 15/05/2025 12:14

The Zara one in dark blue. The beigey one is nice too.
The light blue ones aren't nice.
The whitish one would look grubby most of the time.

olivelime · 15/05/2025 12:20

I like them both - they're quite similar.

Zara one wins out for me - I think the colour is probably slightly greyer, which I like. And is it a smidge shorter? But also like the curved hem, which adds more interest and the brass toned buttons instead of silver.

mycatismyworld · 15/05/2025 12:26

I had one in the early 80's. I'm not a fan of either but I would say they New Look one is nicer, the Zara one has some weird stuff going on with the hem.

Todaywasbetter · 15/05/2025 13:07

the Zara curved hem says shirt not jacket.

New look is better

lalaloopyhead · 15/05/2025 13:55

I prefer the New Look one, the Zara one looks a bit of an awkward length.

TickleMyPickle · 15/05/2025 13:58

I have the NL one, it just arrived this morning. I’m really happy with it

TickleMyPickle · 15/05/2025 13:59

Oh and I only paid £29.99 for it!

EstherGreenwood63 · 15/05/2025 17:01

Zara one has less poofy sleeves which I prefer.

Applesonthelawn · 15/05/2025 17:13

I don't like the curved hem on the Zara one but that's just me. What it would really boil down to is the quality of the denim and how "blotchy" the fade is and that's notoriously difficult to tell online.

merryhouse · 15/05/2025 17:25

aren't they the same? - oh not quite, the Zara is shorter with a curvy hem. I'm not keen on that, mainly because I think denim isn't the fabric for flouncy shapes, so I'd probably go for the other.

(but I am 55 and still think it's the 80s)

RampantIvy · 15/05/2025 17:32

AlertCat · 15/05/2025 09:14

I don’t really like either tbh. I would miss handwarmer pockets with a coat that length.

I don't like that style at all either. I'm behind the times, but I don't mind because mine is a classic style that never really goes out of fashion.

FiendsandFairies · 15/05/2025 17:37

I much prefer the Zara one - I think the NL one is too long.

ShaunaSadeki · 15/05/2025 17:40

I prefer the NL one, not sure why and it isn’t somewhere I usually shop

Peasinthefreezer · 15/05/2025 17:52

The NL one for me! I’m now tempted to order it and see it it will suit me! @TickleMyPickle is it true to size?

IberianBird · 15/05/2025 17:56

Honestly neither, I'm not a fan of the oversized, shapeless look but at a push, zara.

CrystalSingerFan · 15/05/2025 17:59

Thanks for saying 'nicer' rather than 'nicest'. 😀
