I'm a middle aged bloke and wouldn't be seen dead in it. (Or alive. Or any combination of the two)

workworkisthereagain · 01/05/2025 07:06

It looks like it's made of kitchen curtains.

Scousemousey · 01/05/2025 08:07

Perfect for a barn dance, yee-haw! 🤠

zzpleb · 01/05/2025 08:10

It's red gingham - so what? Does it suit him?

MollyRedSkirtsChandler · 01/05/2025 08:12

It's nice. I assume the person who is going to wear it likes it?

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 01/05/2025 08:14

Yup, tis grim

Beyondburnout · 01/05/2025 08:16

When i clucked I thought it was going to be a hilarious garment for sale online.

Geneticsbunny · 01/05/2025 08:16

Isn't it a shame that you have accidentally thrown red wine on it and will have to buy a different new one.

Happyinarcon · 01/05/2025 08:17

It’s out of date, but I reckon a younger bloke could pull it off with pale denim. I wouldn’t complain too much, it’s a step up from stained tshirts which is what my partner prefers

Doggymummar · 01/05/2025 08:18

What's wrong with it? Gingham is very fashionable at the minute.

Largestlegocollectionever · 01/05/2025 08:18

i think your reaction is slightly OTT??
Not my choice but I wouldn’t even notice someone wearing it, it’s not offensive or awful?

BlueEyedBogWitch · 01/05/2025 08:23

Is he a cowhand called Biff?

If so, it’s fine.

Scratchingaroundinthesameoldhole · 01/05/2025 08:26

He should wear whatever he likes.
Imagine if he told you what to wear

AliBaliBee1234 · 01/05/2025 08:27

I think it's nice. If he likes it then who cares?

THIS

The double standards for men and women on this site are shocking.

If a man posted his wifes choice of clothes on an internet forum to mock them, there would be an outrage ....

Hmm. I said I'd not wear it but I do wear stained (and very old) tee shirts. Maybe I should up my game. Where does one buy gingham? Pale denim you say....

springintoaction321 · 01/05/2025 08:28

I'm reminded of 'Tim, Tim - nice but dim' 😂

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 01/05/2025 09:06

I had one once and the problem is, if you sit down in the countryside or on the beach a family will immediately turn up and lay a picnic out on your back.

It was most annoying.

WithOnlyTheMemories · 01/05/2025 09:15

It's just a shirt. It's completely inoffensive. Am I missing something? Why would you go online to slag off something someone is going to wear? So weird.

LaMarschallin · 01/05/2025 09:22

What does "bubble" mean in this context?
I've tried Googling but there's just "Having a bubble" for "Having a laugh" there.
Do you mean you think it's funny?

Don't particularly like the shirt and it's not my DH's style but I don't think I'd mark it out as an awful/funny shirt if I passed somebody wearing it in the street.

Laffydaffy · 01/05/2025 09:33

Ha, it is totally in-date here (Germany) for guys of all ages - little kids, teens, young adults and granddads. I think it is cute! This pattern is worn generally with Lederhosen, but also with regular trousers and jeans, as office-wear and for formal occasions. Usually long-sleeved but also short-sleeved works. DD used to wear a pink one with trousers instead of the traditional Dirndl.

NetflicksAndSleep · 01/05/2025 09:58

It’s fine. My DP has something similar in pink. It suits him/his colouring.

NattyTurtle59 · 01/05/2025 10:01

It looks perfectly normal to me Confused
