The next thread, royal style mavens! The title suggestion was from our last thread. Mary of Teck was never knowingly underdressed or less than bejewelled!

@KiIIingMeDeftly
I'm also taken by the trouser suit and shoes.

Princess Isabella on the first of two official 18th birthday events, ahead of the actual day itself. Apparently a £30,000 party is planned!
And that V&A event the Spencer twins attended is a Cartier exhibition, where the jewellery on display includes Wallace Simpson’s peacock brooch. Other items include the Cartier Indian tiara on loan from the Gloucesters It runs from tomorrow, 12th April, till Nov 16.

They like a birthday party, don't they? Nice photos.
I have serious Cartier envy. ❤️

In defence of Isabella's parties. Lots of young people (who presumably she doesn't know) have been invited from across Denmark. So there is a sort of community aspect to it.

That's actually a nice thing to do.

That would've been a great look on her if the skirt was midi rather than maxi.

It does drown her very petite figure I think. The fabric is heavy.

I think it would look too workwear as a midi. For a different occassion the outfit would look good if it was a midi like a day time event but I think nightime going to the theatre it just doesn't work regardless of the skirt length.

Maireas · 12/04/2025 06:15

I like that look of Meghan's - the shirt and the slim line skirt, she's worn variants of that and it works well. I would agree that it's not quite right with a maxi length.

Here's a better photo of Meghan, with Audra McDonald. I think she looks really good and whoever does her makeup has mastered the no-makeup makeup look!

That's a lovely picture, both women look great. Meghan's makeup is spot on.

I know it was mentioned but not sure we we shared pics of Sophie at the Sovereign's Parade yesterday. The periwinkle blue really suits her colouring. Kate has worn a similar colour before but I think it's a shade that works better on a blonde.

Thanks, Deftly, we did mention it, but I didn't see any pictures. Emilia Wickstead, classic and elegant. The periwinkle blue is lovely and suits Sophie. A very chic hat, and I like the look overall.

Ah! You did better than my “source”. He couldn’t find any pictures and
mixed her up with the Princess of Wales 🙄😆. He did still tell me about it being the first all female colour party though, which was really nice given that Sophie took the salute

justasking111 · 12/04/2025 19:30

Cartier party for the jewellery exhibition. JC looking very glamorous.

Anyone here going?

I think that shirt and skirt look is one which does suit Meghan. My only wee criticism (of the skirt not her) is that in the photo Miri posted yesterday of it side on the checks don't seem to line up properly - which at the price I would want. Maybe it's very shaped so just not possible or a bad camera shot.

I do think Sophie really suits that periwinkle blue - she looks tip top in that outfit.

MM and the Norwegian Royals at a return reception hosted by the president Iceland and her husband in Oslo. MM suits red.

Maybe reflecting her mother’s need to step back (?) Ingrid Alexandra took part in her first state visit dinner wearing a dress worn by MM at CPV’s wedding. I think it would have suited an updo or a slightly more structured hairstyle.

Joan, always fabulous.

She is. I can’t believe she is going out to parties in Ralph Lauren clothes and Chanel earrings while my mum who’s practically the same age as Joan and used to be pretty glamourous is now in a care home with dementia. Keep living Joan!!!
