The next thread, royal style mavens! The title suggestion was from our last thread. Mary of Teck was never knowingly underdressed or less than bejewelled!

Charlotte looks so like William in that pic, doesn't she?

I'd not heard of Samantha Sung so I googled and the brand seems far more in Camilla's wheelhouse than Kate's. Kate is only in her 40s!

That's a nice picture of Charlotte, in her hiking gear, in the Lakes. I love her jacket!

As we say where I live, she has the head off her dad. 😀

They are really stylish (imho) - Blake Lively rocked a gorgeous blue print one in a recent film A Simple Favor (American spelling!)
They are the sort of dress you can wear with killer heels, or in a more school dropoff way!

Maireas · 03/05/2025 08:01

I'd not heard of Samantha Sung either, but those shirt dresses would definitely be a good choice for Camilla. I thought what she wore to the cancer reception was nice. Possibly Sophie, or one of the skirts would be the sort of thing Mary would wear, with a plain top. I don't necessarily think any of them would be a good look for Kate, personally.

I can imagine Sophie in them but not Kate.

Me too - some of them would look nice on her.

I have tried on a couple of Samantha Sung dresses, and they are lovely (I was looking for a dress for a fancy event, and while they were well out of my budget, I thought I may as well try them on too!). You can definitely style them to be more youthful. They are definitely in Kate’s wheelhouse - I’d love to see her wear one of the brightly coloured versions.

Possibly, but I don't think any of those dresses suit Kate, that long sleeved floral one is a no no, I've seen her look better. Just a personal opinion.

She’s the spitting image of him., I agree.

Those photos are from few years ago - Kate's (and everyone else's) summer of floral midi dresses! She tends to favour a more streamlined look these days.

That video made me cry @Serenster- how lovely!

BridgetJonesesOwl · 04/05/2025 00:10

It is lovely

And @alldressedupinblue thanks for the share token of the European princesses article - it's a good read.

Edit: missed a word

The author forgot Estelle! Though I guess she's Gen Alpha rather than Z. And CPV is X/elder Millenial.

Letizia and Leonor at a reception in Panama. The red jumpsuit is fab on Leti and Leonor looks so smart in her dress uniform. She reminds me a bit of a young QEII, in that she appears to take her duties as future monarch very seriously despite being just 19.

I love Leti's jumpsuit, that red is such a great colour. Leonor looks very chic in her dress uniform, makeup on point like Mum!

It's a very different look, but I think it's lovely. The bright, full skirt with the wrap plain white shirt. Nice pearl earrings! Her hair is softer, very flattering and good makeup. I'm glad she's looking well.

Charlene looks lovely as does Leticia. Great to see bright colours.

RomainingCalm · 05/05/2025 11:03

Leti’s red jumpsuit is lovely and I like the metallic espadrilles with it.

Charlene looks great too, that skirt is gorgeous. It’s an outfit that I could imagine Queen Mary wearing.

MotherofPearl · 05/05/2025 12:25

Charlene looks beautiful there. I adore full skirts.

Leti looks amazing in red as usual.
