Had filler yesterday...

...in my marionette lines and I'm chuffed with the results already, despite the bit of swelling/bruising.

Since losing weight my face has completely dropped, and I look my age (and more) but I think this will give me back a bit of confidence

Looks fab op! I've been thinking about filler in the same place as well as Botox for my number 11s in between my eyes.
How often will you need to have the filler done to keep on top of the lines, how much did it cost and where did you get it done?

May I ask how old you are OP? I would really consider this myself, but have been told that at 60, fillers aren’t going to work, and that I need a facelift (which is way beyond my budget unfortunately!)

They look great ...something to think about is that some practitioners would put a tiny bit at the corners of your lips too to 'lift' them.

You're not too old for fillers at all.

Obviously it depends on what you want doing but I'd advise you really shop around and don't skimp on the cost. Never use a 'beautician' - always a dentist or doctor with loads of training.

In my area of the UK you'd pay about £350 for 1ml of filler (what OP had done might need 1ml each side) and that can be double in central London, I've heard.

That's enough for 1 side. looking at OP she would have had at least 1ml on each side or even more.

Depending on the type of filler used it can last anywhere from 6 months to 18 months.

It depends how quickly it dissolves in your face.

So I'm 51, this is my first time having fillers, he also put a little in my cheeks and a little in my nose to lip lines to 'lift' the lower face. Filler was 3ml and it was £600, reputable clinic/doctor near where I live in South Manc. Was told it could last up to 18 months

Looks great, and totally natural. Can't really see any bruising. Would be interested to see it again when swelling (that I can't see!) has subsided to get an accurate idea of the difference.

I was told anything from 6 months to 18 months, he said it should be nearer 18 as I had 3ml

It looks amazing - just to warn you though as a regular filler user that the end result won't be quite so plumped as the facial area swells a bit. I'm still really happy with my marionette fillers ( which I have every 18 months)

Yeah i didn't want the plumpness, just the lines smoothing out, I'll be happier once it's settled
