I am a guest at a very upmarket out of my comfort zone summer wedding and I need a nice dress to carry me from day to night that looks good and I feel comfortable and relaxed in and that I have made an effort. I am a size 18 to 20 and almost 6ft tall.

Criteria.
Comfortable to wear.
Midi or maxi length (not floor length or mini).
Not overly hot sweat inducing fabric
Not empire line as it really doesn’t suit me.
Either short, capped or little floaty sleeves (not balloon sleeves.
Not heavily structured fabric.
Minimising my tummy.
Not Long Tall Sally (quality shocking).
Not plain navy.

I am in my 50’s and can wear most colours except black, pale pink or yellow.

Hit me with suggestions.

Thanks I need a slightly longer dress to cover a vein.

There are maxi dresses in the third link if that helps?

Unusual neckline not sure if it's 'wedding' enough but I like it

These photos might be better. My hair is now silver shoulder length but in a good cut and both dresses would work with my colouring I think.

I love the red!

Tried the multi coloured one on in a store in an 18 I would need surgery and to go on a starvation diet to get anywhere near fastening it. They didn’t have the red one in store.

Also found this gorgeous dress in Jigsaw but I am still so lumpy and bumpy that it wasn’t a good look but absolutely gorgeous colours, easy to get on (no zip), I could dress it up or down so could wear it again, good length and good fit apart from all the massive bumps and bulges on and around my stomach (too much for shape wear to have any impact and that was in the biggest size XL (which is actually a 16).

I love the Rixo dress but they carefully avoid mentioning what the material actualy is. When they do that it normally means it is Viscose or Lenzing whatever it is. Some people actually like that. I do not.

It seems a common thing a lot of very expensive dresses which are polyester, rayon or viscose etc.

Take a look at ASOS? Here’s a few examples, they do some bigger sizes and a tall range
