Help with wedding guest dress swanky venue but comfortable and relaxed

I am a guest at a very upmarket out of my comfort zone summer wedding and I need a nice dress to carry me from day to night that looks good and I feel comfortable and relaxed in and that I have made an effort. I am a size 18 to 20 and almost 6ft tall.

Criteria.
Comfortable to wear.
Midi or maxi length (not floor length or mini).
Not overly hot sweat inducing fabric
Not empire line as it really doesn’t suit me.
Either short, capped or little floaty sleeves (not balloon sleeves.
Not heavily structured fabric.
Minimising my tummy.
Not Long Tall Sally (quality shocking).
Not plain navy.

I am in my 50’s and can wear most colours except black, pale pink or yellow.

Hit me with suggestions.

However many bills it fits, it won't fit the OP! Sizes 6, 8 only.

Yes really love that Nobodys Child green dress just not keen on the skin flashing on the back at my age and size. This one just popped up on my feed maybe more autumn winter and sweat inducing unnatural fabric does anyone know if this brand is good for tall and what sizing is like?

This looks really classy and relaxed. I’d think someone was very stylish wearing this to a wedding. It reminded me of a similar dress posted on here recently that I also thought looked relaxed but super stylish

I recently wore a dress from NFD to a wedding and had so many compliments. I found the quality pretty good and felt great. They also do a ‘buy and sell’ section on their website, with lots of their latest styles half price and only worn once.

Try Phase 8 - they cut really well for rounder figures, usually very flattering and go up to 20 for most frocks.

This is by pure cotton. I think it could be dressed up with accessories

Have you looked at Finery? I find them roomy and a good length. Last trousers I bought were 32 inches long and that was regular length not long! Their models on website are 5'10" so you can get a good idea how their clothes would look on you. I'm 60 and wear a lot of their clothes. I particularly like their dresses.

Could you not wear something underneath? I'm thinking nude or white? Not like a cotton vest, but the snug body sculpting type garment. Like you see dancers wearing under things?

I’ve just bought this one for a wedding in a couple of weeks and it’s gorgeous. I’m a size 14/16 and bought the L and it fits me perfectly on the bust and hides my tummy well.
