Thanks heartbreak is so bloody hard but I have my kids not to him thankgod and there older daughters aged 10 and 15 and a good supportive female neighbour whose a good friend and helping. I'm sorry to hear about your late husband passing. I did have good years with my husband before he became an alcholic and have 2 amazing kids so I have to remind myself being alone with them without stress of a bad man is better xx

My emerald and diamond engagement ring chosen by my husband 29 years ago. I still love it.

Engagement ring bought by DH in 2002, when we had no money, think it was about £800. Still had no money when we got married in 2014, so I pawned some jewellery to pay for my wedding ring. Both 18ct white gold.

I love them both.

My ring was DHs grandmother’s ring from October 18th 1914. She left it to her DIL (DH’s mother) who gave it to me about 20 years after we were married with the most beautiful letter thanking me for caring for her partner who died while they were visiting us. I know how much she treasured that ring and so do I.
DH and I got married 50 years ago and never got engaged as we decided to get married and did so 6 weeks later.
I still love my ring ( and my DH!)

You're supposed to wear your wedding ring at the base of your finger, as it's closest to your heart line!

Stop it - it's all wrong! 😆

It's personal choice, of course, but for many the wedding ring is worn as a 'keeper' ring.

My engagement ring and wedding ring look very unfashionable now as yellow gold and 1970s style , one of the sapphires fell out and when it was repaired the diamond looked even smaller but I love my rings .
