i’d like to wear to for nice lunch dates, or casual evenings eg cinema. I would like to be comfortable but look well put together and stylish.

Any suggestions welcome. What to wear it with and how to dress, eg tucked in or not, something with the sleeves maybe? Jewellery, footwear?

I’m mid thirties, size 14 with a mum tum.

Jeans.

Mauro711 · 21/01/2025 17:45

Yep, blue jeans, but not skinny. Maybe tucked in at the front a bit.

mdinbc · 21/01/2025 18:14

Yes, straight jeans and tan boots.

Doggymummar · 21/01/2025 20:00

I tend to take inspiration from the website pics so black trousers or black satin skirt

owlexpress · 21/01/2025 20:17

I think the trousers on the site are brown. Jeans are the obvious answer but I'd personally try to dress tonally. Maybe wide leg trousers in the camel colour of the jumper, neutral coloured trainers and gold jewellery. Or a brown A-line mini skirt and tights with neutral trainers. Or actually a black mini skirt, black tights and chunky loafers could work. Lots of options.

CharlotteCChapel · 21/01/2025 20:20

In the bin, it's awful, but if you like it leopard skin skirt

BobbyBiscuits · 21/01/2025 20:23

A camel or cream coloured skirt, tailored but flared. Maybe leather? Then a slingback kitten heel,or a shorter shirt with a knee boot in brown or cream.

DuckTales1234 · 21/01/2025 20:23

Skirt, white blouse underneath the jumper
Pull the jumper sleeves very up
let the blouse sleeves show
Fold the blouse sleeves up too
Loads of jewellery to glam up
Nice hair and make up to pull all together

Sorry, I agree. £78 for the blandest thing I’ve ever seen - and that’s the sale price 😳

Newbie8918 · 21/01/2025 20:27

Wide leg camel trousers and an oversize wool camel coat (if you have one). You can either do flats or heels depending on the occasion. Same with tucked in or out. I always prefer a half tuck with the front in and back more relaxed.

Lovely lovely jumper! Will be a nice investment piece for your wardrobe.

Printedword · 21/01/2025 20:28

Chunky necklace and bangle or scarf round neck. Jeans or wide leg trs, I don't think it would work with a skirt. I'd probs need a cami or vest under as loose fit

Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice · 22/01/2025 00:04

Yes, that's what I'd wear too. Or my off-white jeans.

I don't think blue jeans or black/dark bottoms (including those in the photo) do it justice. Anything in either of the two jumper colours will work much better.

ViaRia01 · 22/01/2025 07:47

Blue jeans of washed out black jeans would have been my go-to choice but I was curious to see if others had a different take on it. Some helpful suggestions, especially those which gave real detail on ideas for sleeves, tucking, layering etc. thanks everyone for getting involved.

I received it as a gift - it really is a lovely jumper and I know it could look stylish on someone who knew how to put everything together! The model photos don’t do it justice and I’m really not keen on the brown jeans it’s paired with on that link.

Definitely agree to dress tonal - there are some nice faux leather trousers about, I’ve seen brown ones at M and Ssss or New Look. I’ve seen straight leg, wide leg and tapered. Bit of an update on the ubiquitous leather leggings from previous years which I still love and wear a lot.

Camel or brown suggestions from PP will be better than black if you want to look pulled-together.

Agreed.

Sladeeiggt · 22/01/2025 12:40

It looks lovely, I would wear with a tan silk skirt and boots or a short fitted a line tan mini and boots. Add gold jewellery, there’s lots of chunky gold in the shops at the minute.

HowAmITheCatsGranny · 22/01/2025 12:46

I have brown wide legged cords which I think would go well with it. And recently bought these New Balance trainers https://www.schuh.co.uk/womens/new-balance-327-beige-multi-trainers/1963930850/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces-across-google&utm_campaign=organic-shopping&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAy8K8BhCZARIsAKJ8sfTWtrlTNCdUet_57gyPsxJxg2BwTPHmKr4WXpxtVJm9qL7pHJKkHtMaAspnEALw_wcB
I’ve also seen some nice camel coloured short belted trench coats in the shops lately.

One woman's bland is another woman's classic and versatile. For 100% wool that's a good price.

CeceliaImrie · 22/01/2025 14:38

Jeans with that would look boring as hell for me. I'd do a skirt of any length you like and as statement as you like with boots .

WLMummy · 22/01/2025 15:25

Love the jumper. Leather pencil skirt, midi. Slingbacks.

CiderandPosies · 22/01/2025 15:41

It's just a jumper and nothing special. Sorry.

I'd wear it with jeans.

I agree too. There's not a nice thing about it and I like a plain jumper.

Sladeeiggt · 22/01/2025 15:56

Wow some people on this thread are so rude !

OP is not asking for opinions on the jumper, she is asking how to style it.

I would love to see what some of you consider stylish 🤔

owlexpress · 22/01/2025 15:56

OP wasn't asking if people like it or if she should buy it. She already has it, and it was a gift. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
