I have set up a new Toastie thread, guys.

@ToastCosILoveIt those are the ones. In previous years I found them too wide in the legs for my taste. I’m not sure what size I had previously, I can’t find it in my account.
This year I measured my Toast trousers with an elastic waist and ordered accordingly. The check ones fell between xs and xxs so I took a chance and ordered xxs. They are a bit of a wriggle over my hips but fine when on . I also think they’ve given a little ( have tried them on to check a lot of times) They fall at my ankle bone which is what I wanted. And more importantly for me, they don’t look too big or baggy. I am 5’4” and a sturdy 10 in bottoms. I. Have trousers between xs and s , I think possibly 1 pair xxs linen balloon trousers.
i was recommended S so I think you could possibly try a size down.

I follow this thread avidly, though I very rarely contribute. I enjoy all the reviews of Toast clothing / products and this thread definitely influences my spending 😂. I just wanted to say that I’m strangely drawn to the netball bib. Maybe it’s because I’m fast approaching an age where I need a bib when eating, so this could be classed as ‘essential functional day wear’ in my case 🤣. That’s how I’m going to justify the frivolity as I’m definitely going to buy and try. Just waiting for word of the next Kindred gift. I’ve not had a renewal card, but have checked and my free post pass is valid until late July, so all good 😊

Some people get renewed in July, (like me 🤞), but most people seem to be January. I think we might be due a gift following a big round of renewals 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

There was a gift on 25th January last year @IlovePond . I just checked, it was the print of the flowers. Also checked and my Toast pass is renewed too. I don’t yet have a card though.

I think you’d need a flat chest for the bib otherwise it would hang away from your body surely.

@Countmeout - yes, it’s weird that Toast have missed January for Kindred gifts - it been January and July for a while🤷‍♀️

It seems all bets are off now in terms of guessing what Toast are planning, given the failure to have an autumn mini sale and so few items in the last two sales and now - horror - no sign of a post Xmas Kindred gift😹 🤷‍♀️

Will you go oversize? Instead of just buying a nice top, I thought I might over complicate life and hack the Toast bib offering. As well as the GD embroidery I was thinking about joining the sides but I am no longer my svelte netball shape, so also darts would be necessary.
Think I might have just talked myself out of that one.

I’ll definitely report back on the bib @TosstTastic . I’ll hold off ordering for a week or two in the hope of the long-awaited, so-far-elusive Kindred gift putting in an appearance 🤞. I usually go for a S in Toast in the ‘new’ sizing, which I find quite generous on my narrow shouldered, small busted frame, so I’ll go for that size and see how it looks. Honestly, I’ve built this bib up in my mind to be that quirky little throw-on that’s missing from my life. I fear the reality 🤣

@Sunnydaysarehereonceagain - waiting with bated breath to see the bib in all its splendour (or otherwise 😁). It would be really nice to have a gift!

Loving the bib chat 😂, I was goal attack but I think my bib days have gone, on and off the court!

I had an unexpected visit to Toast Hampstead today. I was in the area so took the opportunity. I wanted to try on the new pleated floating print shirt dress. Well, it is a beautiful dress and fairly true to size I would say and I found myself buying it. Funnily, I was wearing the navy pleated organic skirt when I tried it on which is what they style it with I think in one of the photos. It is a beautiful fabric and pattern, quite long, but I think it will earn its keep.

I also tried on the Gia print ribbon shirt but I don’t think the colour is right for me. It comes up large for those looking at it, the 10 was fine for my size 12 frame.

While there I also ordered the ribbed mohair cardigan in deep forest. I can’t even find it on the website now as I think it is all but sold out, but I had tried it on in store previously and loved it, but needed the medium and not the small which was a tad too snug for me. The assistant tracked it down in another store and I ordered over the phone.

I didn’t have time to size up any more of the new collection as DH and DDog were waiting for me outside. The assistants were all helpful as ever, the shop looking lovely.

If you buy direct from the shop, remember to give the assistant your email at the till so they can link the purchase to your account. It all helps to keep your Kindred membership.

Due to the massively disappointing sale at Xmas, I think I am probably at risk of losing mine this year 😿

I asked, but no news on that front. I would expect one around Easter.

Last year, they had them in April, (excellent), June, (ok), end of October, (poor - very little stock).

Hugely disappointed. The vibae mules are too wide for me. My foot slips through the toe. I love their closed toe ones, the comfort is unbelievable. Shattered my dream of wandering round in these on holiday.

I also tried a couple of other things.
Alix etched linen - quite thin. I don’t like the pattern . God forgive me a bit M and S.

Crinkle cotton gingham skirt. I was surprised by the weight of this. Has pockets which I don’t think are mentioned in the description. Lovely with my black boatneck top (similar to Lia T shirt) probably could wear a lot on cooler summer days. Will keep.

Sized down in skirt to avoid too much material on the hips.

I'm new to this thread, what are kindred gifts and passes? Are they possible discounts?

You can buy a Toast Pass and it gives you free delivery all year.
If you are Kindred you are given one. Becoming Kindred is a mystery. It seems to involve spending a great deal each year.
Sadly no discounts for some years for the majority of us Kindred or not.
Kindred get a gift with their order maybe twice a year. (This process is also shrouded in mystery)

Hi @Oshimosa - Kindred is a loyalty programme that gives access to certain in-store and online events, free postage, early access to sales and a gift with purchase twice a year. Access is by invitation only and renewed once a year, (if you’re lucky). It’s dependant on spending a lot/ordering often, although decisions seem a bit random and no one knows what the threshold is 😹

Some big spenders haven’t been invited, but have been included after contacting Toast CS. Others have kept their Kindred status despite spending relatively little. It’s all very odd!

It’s also only available to UK customers.

It’s important to give the assistant your email to link to your account when buying in-store, so that these purchases ‘count’.

I was made Kindred a few days after finally buying a Post Pass, and I have always wondered if that tipped the balance for me.

@Countmeout I suppose the weighty crinkle skirt you just bought is the same fabric as the new navy crinkle dress . I wonder if you would mind telling me if you can see the check lining through the front of the fabric? Some of the crinkle fabric is much more prone to this than others. My favourite boat neck dress is only fit for the bin now, and I would love to replace it but only if the colour is very solid. Thank you in advance!

It has cream on the inside. I think there is a cream dress with the lining in check too. I think you can see it through the cream on the inside of my skirt slightly. I’m not sure about navy.
