Update in praise of the ROKA customer service people.

I got a call back today regarding my mixed up order (ordered 2 x maxi + 1 x mini, received 1 x maxi (small bantry b) and 3 x midi).

They are sending me replacement medium bags.

I can’t imagine how much this is costing - either the markup on the bags is massive, or this is somehow going to be a big tax write off - but I can’t fault the customer service at all.

I haven’t bought ROKA before but will definitely do it again and recommend them to people - both because of this experience and the quality of the bags.

Did they say what had left for the Maxi dip?

I’m starting to get envious of all these small cranberry bantrys. It’s a great colour.

I’m not going to risk a dip and I don’t need another backpack as they aren’t really my thing apart from when I’m flying somewhere. Is the cranberry colour just in canvas?

edit - should have put my glasses on. Cranberry is in nylon 🤣

Is the cranberry colour anywhere near Solovair/DM in cherry red?

They seem to have changed the Lucky Dip price range for maxi bags, I got a Bantry B and checked to make sure it was correct and the maxi bag now says £54.95 - £89.95

Last year I got a cranberry Paddington B and my first reaction when opening it, was "oh my gosh". Love the bag, but not sure about this colour" Up until then, I hardly ever worn red.

I started to use it, I couldn't swap as not in UK, and to my surprise, it just matched so many things I do have (I have a lot of neutrals) , and I received so many compliments. So I started to add more red in generally. I recently decided to look into having my colours done, and lo and behold, one of my top colours are red.

So initially it took me right out of my comfort zone, but I am so glad it did. It was this bag that made me more adventurous and introduce a little bit of colour in my life.

I have my eye on the purple and emerald green now..... 😀

yes, they have but I ordered before they did. But as per recent update, they have sorted it in a really generous way and I’m over the moon with their customer service.

Oops... after a hard couple of days I cracked and ordered a midi. I have wayyy too many bags, including several ROKAs, and can't justify this in any way. But what the heck. 😄Excited to see what comes!

I did midi, I got a Paddy B in burnt orange which I'm v happy with. Last year I got a bright red Kennington which I use all the time, I'd have been happy with another one in a different colour though I do have a similar bag from Trespass in navy - I use them for gigs and days where a formal handbag isn't right, but they hold loads.

In the mini last year I got the Paddington waist bag which I've not found a use for, my phone doesn't fit in it so it's no use at all. And I already have a bum bag type thing (that my phone does fit in).

I also did maxi last year and got a medium (I think, should measure it) Bantry in a kind of olive green, which I use for work. Much as I'd love another, I can't count how many backpacks I have so I must stop!

I just sold my Trafalgar, so I've sold 2/3 of my dips on Vinted for what I paid (easier than doing a return!) and I'm keeping the Custard small Bantry, which is the perfect size for my days out with my toddler or hand luggage on a flight.

This lucky dip thing is actually addictive, I'm considering going back again 🙈

This is a great Idea, I would exclude red

Yes, it would be brilliant if you could select from a colour palette, say: A, B or C.

They could word it as ‘expressing a preference, with NO guarantee’, (then there would be no come back if people got the ‘wrong’ colours/patterns).

They should definitely do a ‘Backpack only’ LD - any size, for next year!

Trafalgar came to work with me today. The colour is not growing on me, but it was so much more comfortable to carry than the ancient and falling to pieces horror I had previously been carting around, (and which has now been consigned to the bin). Plus, I could FIND my stuff in the bag!

Even if you could just choose from "black" or "colour", that would be good. I'd love basically any colour except black, but 2/3 bags I ordered were black.

The tags say "ROKA is for living life in colour", give us the option of colour!

There seems to be some openness to accommodating preferences, I remember last year I included a note saying I'd really love x or y type of bag if possible (can't remember which), and they sent me one of those. I also seem to remember people saying they'd asked not to receive a certain type of bag and that seemed to be listened to as well.

I have caved and purchased another Maxi and 2 mini's in the hope of receiving a beanie hat 🤞🏻

I got a small bantry B in marine which is like a lovely teal.

It is definitely big enough to be a handbag for work, I absolutely love it.

@undercoverhero74 I received my order yesterday and got a beanie hat and gloves as two of my minis. So pleased. They must have reached the beanie box now! Good luck

Is everyone getting small Bantry bags and Trafalgars now in the Maxi?

It’s ridiculous, but I enjoyed the randomness of the whole LD thing so much I am contemplating going back in again. However, I do not want or need another small Bantry or an Trafalgar.

I don’t think a Midi dip would do for me as I absolutely hate all bags that sit under the armpit/have the bag part across the chest. (I like crossbody bags with a long strap.)

I do quite fancy chancing my luck with a Mini if there is a reasonable chance of a hat!

Re point above - I didn't ask for specific items but did email them to say "I ordered 4 minis and would be grateful if you didn't send duplicate items because they are all for me!" and they absolutely honoured that. I wouldn't have asked for anything specific but I didn't want 4 mini paddingtons or 4 purses!

@undercoverhero74 well we have 3 dogs and they keep eating my Roka stuff. No kidding they have eaten 2 carnaby purses and a paddington during the last 6 months. So when I place an order I blame the dogs! I received a small carnaby purse and a small paddington as my other 2 minis and I am delighted

@manpan1 to be fair i would be happy with anything except one of the bags, so a hat, wallet, gloves socks etc. The smaller bags aren't really my style but I'm sure I could sell it on if needs be 🤩
