Don't worry you're not the only one! I have way too many bags now! Last year I got a pea coloured small bantry with flannel lining, a large flax finchley and a large cranberry Canfield! I've been using the large Canfield most of the year for work. Now i have two more backpacks 🤣 Even with the bantry confusion this year, it is clear in the description that backpacks are not in the midi dip, people are making it up and ignoring guidance to suggest its in the midi, then getting annoyed. People have gone nuts this year about it and spoilt the fun of it, even when Roka tried to fix the mistake and apologise there was still more moaning 😒. Just need to get over it, move on, what's done is done innit.

I got this for my replacement. I am using it now. I love it

We've taken the small Bantry out today. It was just me and one of my DCs. I took; a tablet, a change of clothes for DC, snacks, a water bottle, a pack of wipes and a book. It worked well.

In other news, after chasing a couple of times, ROKA have responded about the data breach. It's a really reassuring and detailed response. I'm happy with that.

I think the last year’s separate backpack LD sounds very sensible and much clearer.

I always thought all backpacks were in the Maxi from the description and I was ok with getting a small Bantry. (I was oblivious to the price ranges of the Bantry, as I was unfamiliar with the brand.)

I was a bit surprised by how small the small Bantry actually was, (but I should have checked the measurements and I don’t think foreknowledge would have prevented me from ordering).

I am actually really pleased to have got a backpack at all in my Maxi - I just really didn’t want a hold-all, having just got rid of loads, so pleased about that.

I had ideally wanted a larger backpack either for DG’s laptop or for me for work, but upon reflection I think that Trafalgar will be better for work - easier to unpack/load than a backpack for me.

Update on order for delivery to Ireland....

It finally got here! My order for one of each size that I placed on Dec 26th has just been delivered. I'm delighted. Got the following

Paddington D hip bag in Corn
Paddington B crossbody in Cranberry
Medium Bantry rucksack in Black

My order wasn't packed until the 28th so looks like it avoided the Bantry size issue.

I was well impressed that the Bantry very comfortably holds my 16" chunky laptop. Not going to use it as a work bag every day, but it's good to know I have the option.

Delighted with how this all finished up as with more impending snow and ice issues here, I was not looking forward to having to try to make a return.

Well ... I heard back from Roka on my email asking for a return my (3rd 🤣) small Bantry (as not showing as delivered online so couldn't process the return) and asking whether they had run out of large / medium (as it wouldn't be worth dipping again if so)...

However, I don't think they are actually reading the mails anymore (!) as they've responded with what looks to be a generic email advising that I should keep the bag I want to return and that they've sent me a replacement medium out as a gesture of goodwill! I assume they DO have the larger bags left given they are sending one, but was expecting a returns label (and maybe a free return given when I ordered as the goodwill gesture)... this will cost them a fortune!

There wasn't a separate lucky dip for backpacks last year, it was large luxuries which was all small large and medium bags. People have only been getting the trafalgar in it this year as it's new. I believe they did say in the maxi description this year that all of those would be included.

@Loverofbags On my Roka account from January 2024 I have 3 orders (shame on me) - one for Midi Marvels, one for Lucky Dip Backpacks and one for LD Large Luxuries. Not sure if I was alone in getting that particular bunch of products. I feel special

Been seeing lots of people getting creative waste black/purple which looks lovely and thinking ahh I bet I won't be lucky enough to get that.......medium Canfield creative waste black and purple is what I got 😁😁😁

I see @Loverofbags. A separate backpack only LD does sound like it would be a good idea, though.

Unfortunately my second dip is incorrect, too!

I ordered 2 x maxi and 1 x midi and have been sent 4 bags, only one of which is a maxi size (3 are midi size).

So yet another call / email to customer service to get it sorted…

Now I've had a chance to look at it, the small Bantry is definitely bigger than people on here made it sound. It won't fit a laptop obviously, but it's definitely a decent sized bag to take out day to day, even with all my toddlers bits and pieces. Definitely a keeper for me.

The amount of people on Vinted selling their lucky dips for a huge profit is ridiculous. I was hoping to pick up a Canfield in a different colour. I’d rather pay full price from ROKA than save <£10 (after Vinted fees and postage) and line the pockets of resellers.

Yea, I saw a few people are selling for £30 + postage which is fair.

I will also sell my small bantry for £30 + postage on eBay. There were no takers on the swap page.

I’m due to get my replacement bag today.

I'm awaiting my replacement maxi, hoping for a trafalgar but anything large enough for a laptop will be useful.

I think the little bantry is a lovely bag for £30. I'd have been happy with mine if it wasn't black, I have a million small black bags.

Is there to be a proper swap thread? How did it work last year? I'm not sure I trust Internet strangers enough to just send it and expect one in return.

I ordered 2 x maxi and 1 x midi.

I received a small bantry (expected for maxi) and a paddington B crossbody (midi) but then my third was a Willesden XL. This is a midi (as stated on lucky dip criteria) and is only £39.95 so also not in maxi price range. Has anyone had this?

Willesden XL sell for £49.95, Roka don't seem to have any on their site at the moment. If you google, you can find some.

Yup, I had the same.

ordered 2 x maxi + 1 x midi

and got bantry small (maxi), then 3 midi bags (Paddington, Willesden and Kensington)

Really annoyed - especially as it was my second dip after the first was a small bantry worth £54 when I bought the maxi at £59+

Have they run out of maxi and are now sending out two midi instead?
There seems to be some chaos involved.
