It's a great outcome but surely they should be applying the same to all who have emailed?

The issue is the same for all but some posters are getting offers of a return, others have had discount codes or offers of money off future purchases and some have had no response at all. It all seems a bit disorganised.

I ordered a maxi on the 27th and it hasn't turned up yet? Anyone else waited this long?

My lucky dips arrived today, I got a medium Bantry B in airforce, a Paddington B in graphite/spearmint and a Chelsea in emerald. Pretty happy with each of these!

Two of my three (I also got a small orange bantry, ordered before the terms changed, so haven't opened until I hear back from them).

I had my fingers crossed for a large finchley in blue or green, so was delighted to get this large burnt blue one!

Torn on whether to keep the pink canfield or gift to my friend for her birthday in a few weeks, I really love the colour, but it's not my favourite design. Will wait and see the outcome of the bantry and then decide, looks like people are getting different responses!

I got my daughter to order a maxi with her student discount.
Today I received a large finchley.
I've given it to my daughter for uni. It's perfect she is very pleased with it her lap top fits in and loads of room.

Concerned to read that they are running out of stock if they have given free bags to those who ordered later than me and complained. But I am thinking calm and lovely thoughts about the Roka team because I know they will be far more stressed than me right now! They are truly lovely people

To be fair to those who are emailing. It's nothing to do with the mystery lucky dip part. They aren't emailing because they got a small bag and they wanted a big one they are justifiably a little annoyed at getting a bag that didn't actually fit the information outlined at the time of purchasing.

That's one of the most generous emails I have seen someone get! I wonder what they will email back to me...

Someone from the facebook group spoke to them on the telephone today and was TOLD there were only small backpacks left. Which means anyone who orders a maxi now will get a small Bantry B, possibly in Cranberry or black! So I stand by my assertion that this was a way of getting rid of small backpacks as it seems only 1 in 3 orders gets anything different, and that was before they ran out of anything bigger. I haven't done the maths, just quoting someone on the Facebook group who seemed to be keeping count.

You see I DO get the lucky dip meaning.

What I don't get - and what I have complained about is - that the majority of bags being sent out in the lucky dip are under the value that we were promised in the original terms and conditions. There are a lot of small Bantry B's knocking about.

I'm sure I would also feel it was a fabulous lucky dip if I'd got anything, and I genuinely mean anything, that could be useful to me and fit my laptop in. I just wanted a backpack I could use for work and was keen to nab a bargain. I had seen some in the flesh in a shop near me and thought it was worth a punt. I started getting buyers remorse when I realised how many small backpacks were being received. No matter, I'll just buy one I like once the money gets reimbursed or use the perfectly lovely laptop bag that I got for Christmas last year... which languishes in the cupboard because I mainly use my Daunts shopper which is like a Tardis but shit on my ailing old shoulders.

I guess it's only people that are disappointed that post on facebook or here - I was happy with my large Finchley this year, so didn't put mention it on the facebook group as wasn't looking to sell or swap. Shame so many people are getting that cranberry small Bantry B though, this style and colour does seem over-represented so it does seems they had too many of these that they needed to get rid of!

Oh well, I jumped on the bandwagon, bleating merrily as I went, knowing full well that is what some people had had already 🐑😹

I jumped on the bandwagon as well and would be happy with a small cranberry backpack. I was feeling quite blasé about whatever colour I get as there don't seem to be as many garish ones as last year. Now I'm worried I'm going to get that scribble one 😟.

I'm also glad I didn't actually pay for that next day delivery because that's certainly not been honoured.

I've had a reply to my email offering a £10 refund or a 30% discount. I'm taking the discount and will sell my Bantry to cover my costs

If it’s any consolation, I have only seen two of the scribble print ones on the Facebook swap group so there can’t have been many sent out I guess (and they both had takers so it looks like you could easily swap if necessary).

My niece is having mine for school so that’s worked well for us.

Weirdly, within 7 minutes of posting that, I got an email from DPD saying it's on its way so I'll soon find out 😬

I've had an apologetic email promising me a larger colourful backpack bag (style unspecified, but it's to replace the small bantry I got) -- except that it's not a replacement, they've said to keep the small bantry as well!

So I'm very pleased about this - well, at least until I see what "colourful" might mean 😂

As an aside, if I were MD/owner of Roka, I'd be FURIOUS with whoever "organised" this debacle which must be costing the company a fair amount of money and, even more importantly, goodwill.

Wow @mauvish you lucky thing. I have received a return label but have emailed to ask for exchange instead - it doesn't seem fair how we are all being treated so differently. I just want a colourful bag worth £59.95 - which is what I paid for!
