I couldn't see a new thread so I'm starting one!

Yeah I have used quite a few sample services. But I find them quite expensive sometimes. I usually buy them when they are on offer on or very reasonably priced.

The BDK 10mls from Scented Samples seem quite reasonable at £40 compared to £190 for a full bottle (probably because full bottles are 100ml). Compared to eg Byredo where the 10mls from SS are £60-£70 odd, too much for me/#.

Fragrancesamplesuk have got 20% off from now until boxing day - for some reason I can 100% justify spending £90 on 6 different samples but don’t feel the same and would think long and hard about spending that same money on only one bottle 🤦🏻‍♀️

My scent of the day is BDK Gris Charnel. In fact for December I have mainly used this, Ginger Biscuit and Athalia and very little anything else

I will have several scents today!

First up is DS and Durga Debaser from scentbox.

Wasn't sure at first but developed into a lovely fresh fig scent on the dry down.

Not opened the main presents yet as waiting for my mother to arrive but will update later as it will be a day of multiple trying on of new scents.

My scent of the day is valaya. Dp bought me it so felt rude not to 😂

Dd was absolutely over the moon with her babycat. And ds has gone out walking the dogs smelling lovely in lush shade.

I got L'Ombre Dans L'Eau for Christmas but am actually wearing Coromandel today as it feels more Christmassy.

Next on was the zara vanilla immortal,supposed to be a dupe of matiere vanilla powder but wasn't quite the same so I gave it to my mum who loves it.

Bdk velvet tonka was next up, it's a lovely rich nutty gourmand for Xmas day.

I may try the others in the set later but this is hitting the spot for now.

Merry Christmas ladies. I got black opium but the green one as I already have the original. Wearing angels share today however as I really enjoy this scent and smells more wintery to me

Don't personally celebrate Xmas but I hope those celebrating have a lovely day wafting about smelling fabulous
Todays just an ambre vanille type of day. Have only just recovered from the lurgy so haven't been in the mood. So something comforting and easy to wear to ease me back into it.

Baraonda, creamy ambery whiskey. Lovely for Christmas. Here's to many more interesting smells in 2025.

That sounds incredible! I have added it to my to try list for next autumn - Christmas.

Today I received Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud and Penhaligon’s Babylon. Absolutely thrilled with these & can’t wait to wear them!

SOTD was Sana Jardin Tiger by her Side. Just love the cinnamon and vanilla in this. Mum also loved the smell of it so might be buying a bottle over the coming days.

Today I received Byredo Mojave Ghost Absolu and Prada Paradoxe Intense which I knew I was getting.

DS surprised me with Giorgio Armani My Way which is a fruity floral scent. Not one I would have thought of trying but I really like it. Think it will be a nice spring fragrance.

Need to go on a perfume no buy now until at least my birthday and get spritzing daily to use what I have.

I need to decide whether I’m going to buy Sana Jardin Sandalwood Temple & if yes, what size as I’m going on a low buy January. I can see it getting ALOT of use on days when I’m just at home. Feels a bit naughty when I got 2 full bottles for Christmas.

I got a discovery set of 9 x 4.5ml Tocca perfumes as a present yesterday and I’ve just ordered two different 3 x 10ml sets from Miller Harris, so my collection of minis has gone up considerably in the last 24 hours!

Shalimar today. I didn't get any perfume yesterday but I'm fairly sure there's a bottle of Ånd Beån waiting for me when we visit the in laws. And then I have the 4160 Tuesdays January Joy Box to look forward to! Trying not to get any more for the moment, 16 samples in a month is quite enough.

Hi everyone… please can I play too? I live in a hot and humid part of the world and am finding it difficult to become attached to fragrances atm as I feel like I am the kiss of death to fragrances I learn to love. RIP Trussardi Skin and Trussardi Donna, Christian Lacroix Parfum in the seashell bottle - anything that became my “signature” was quickly killed off. I ordered a huge refill of Guerlain Aqua Allegoria in Herba Fresca and just read a rumour that it is about to become extinct also. Sigh… Today I am wearing a secret Santa gift which was a pleasant surprise… A 4711 Remix”Tropic Paradise Edition” - it’s Grapefruit, Yuzu and Blood Orange, so not remotely tropical, but great for today’s sticky weather. I’m wearing it to bed.

SOTD is a Christmas gift, full bottle after a random sample buy (was actually buying some Kerosene samples and didn't much like any of them) New Notes - Talco, which smells unsurprisingly like talc, just really lovely, clean smell but quite comforting too.

Tempted to buy some of the Zara vanilla perfumes but I really need to try and use up some of the bottles I have!

Scent of the day - vics vaporub.

Waves at @Fraaances I recently spent time somewhere hot and fragrances worked completely differently for me. I took a bunch of samples and most seemed to fade.

I did have fun the airport smelling new things so now looking 👀 at guerlain and door as next samples. Plus vinted stalking.

SOTD is hedonist ex nihilio from a recent frag advent. Start is lovely dry down a bit sweet and samey, but I have 10ml to work out if I like it.

My colleague bought me a 'perfume'' Just smells chemically. Obvs did not cost much and don't want to be ungrateful but to be honest I would have preferred one of the Next purse sprays (around £6). It smells of nothing but chemicals. Is not a known make, nor from Lidl or Aldi. No sense of any smells but chemical. Not floral, musk, green, woody etc etc. I even would not have minded the Impulse musk one so am obvs not a snob! She did however get me some other lovely things.

I am wearing Next Eau nude today.
