I've already used up the Eve Lom as I ran out of cleanser last month. I was very underwhelmed. I found it too greasy and almost gritty? Needless to say I've repurchased my usual Clinique. The body wash smells lovely. Haven't tried the blusher yet but I'm excited to. I use Hourglass concealer religiously, but I've tried their ambient lighting powder before and didn't find it made much difference.

MyStylish40s · 19/12/2024 08:01

Triple box today. I’m happy with the Charlotte Tilbury eye crayon and the mascara. I gave the brow gel to dd.

WeAreBorg · 19/12/2024 08:10

Three things in such a tiny drawer - feel like a princess!
I find the process of buying my own mascara and brow gel very tedious, akin to spending money on house repairs, so pleased to be topped up

so the eye pencil is pink?!

andrinaballerina · 19/12/2024 08:25

What a treat! Really keen to try the brow gel, my brows are victims of the late 90s and need all the help they can get now! Not too sure about the eye shadow shade - pink really isn't my colour but could be a good base colour. I do like this type of formula for eye shadows though.

Talisin · 19/12/2024 08:36

I’ll have to check when I get home but my CT eye crayon looked gold. May have been the morning (lack of) light I suppose.

MyStylish40s · 19/12/2024 08:52

I’ve just put on the eyeshadow. It’s very pink. It really doesn’t suit me at all.

Oh well! I guess I’m wearing pink eyeshadow today Xmas Grin

andrinaballerina · 19/12/2024 08:53

I've just tried the eye shadow on my hand and it actually looks more bronze on me which is much better than pink! It's very shimmery though...

JudgeBurrito · 19/12/2024 10:44

I've been using the brow gel for a few weeks, it's okay I guess? I struggle to find anything to fluff my brows up, I tend towards the Cara Delevingne brow so can't really get the laminated look despite trying.

I think I'll use the CT eye crayon more like an eyeliner than a shadow.

LightandBreezy · 19/12/2024 17:49

I tried out the eye pencil today - a bit pinker than I was expecting but worked as a fine layer. Brow gel I'll try in about 2027 if lucky, I seem to have loads! It'll be interesting to try a new mascara too - anyone tried this before? I can normally only wear tubing mascara.

I've given the eye pencil to my niece but have kept the mascara and brow gel. I don't seem to buy myself mascara anymore and this one will be put in the queue!

SaidItFromMyCoffin · 19/12/2024 21:40

DD had the brow gel and will probably have the mascara too.

The eyeshadow pencil I’ve tried before, it’s bit glittery and too pink for me. My least favourite drawer so far but it’s been a great calendar and today is just me being fussy!

Housewife2010 · 20/12/2024 06:22

Just opened today's. Excellent day. I thought this was in it but wasn't 100% sure. It's got to the point where I'm trying to remember what was in the calendar and what we haven't had. It is great that the reveals and release dates were so early. I ordered this AC on the release date and didn't look at the list after that so trying to remember now is like the Generation Game conveyor belt game (minus the 🧸 )!

MyStylish40s · 20/12/2024 07:51

Happy with today. Very generous size, too.

WeAreBorg · 20/12/2024 08:24

Great, I need this! Has anyone used it before?

Talisin · 20/12/2024 08:27

Not heard of this one so my reaction was a bit ‘meh, a moisturiser’. Clearly I need to get googling given the enthusiasm here.

Luxecalmeetvolupte · 20/12/2024 08:39

Today's is the one I had to open near the start as I'd run out of moisturiser! So I've been using it for two weeks or so. Really like it, love the push-up thingy and it's very hydrating and brightening. So nice to have the opportunity to use a full size! Happy moisturising

LightandBreezy · 20/12/2024 08:42

I've not tried this, but I do love moisturiser so I'm happy - not sure why they've made the packaging so huge though when it's a pretty standard amount! Will enjoy trying this out when I've finished off my current moisturiser

I use it, almost ran out so very welcome this morning!

Its not a “thick” moisturiser but I find it very hydrating and it leaves my skin nice and glowy.

rubyslippers · 20/12/2024 11:28

Such a lovely product today
been waiting for this one as run out of my usual daily moisturiser

bigdecisionstomake · 20/12/2024 11:33

I was excited about this one but have just tried it and although I like the texture and the ease with which it sinks in I'm a tiny bit disappointed at the way it smells. I know it's controversial and a lot of people need/like fragrance free products but part of the enjoyment of skincare for me is a lovely subtle scent as I'm applying it. I will use it up but for me this moves it firmly out of the re-purchase category.

Housewife2010 · 20/12/2024 12:25

It's worth £55!

GinandGingerBeer · 20/12/2024 12:40

Very happy with todays as I'm just coming to the end of my current moisturiser
Controversy with the Liberty calendar! They've had to recall a granado candle as it's unsafe. (Definitely was as well, I kept having to blow it out as the flame got so high!)

Apolloneuro · 20/12/2024 12:44

I think our calendar has been excellent. Maybe would have liked a bit more make up, but brilliant.

chloechloe · 20/12/2024 16:19

I’m really pleased with this, it looks lovely although I’m not convinced about having a pump dispenser on a face cream. It’ll have to wait a few weeks though as I already have a “winter” day cream on the go and don’t like to have too many new ones open at once.

@bigdecisionstomake I’m totally with you re the fragrance. My skin doesn’t have an issue with essential oils so I prefer to have products with a nice scent. I’ve had really good products from this brand in the past but also don’t repurchase them as they have zero scent.

andrinaballerina · 20/12/2024 17:04

I'm another one who struggles with "fragrance free" products as I don't like their smell! Today is a good one though (despite scent), it won't replace my usual moisturiser which is pretty heavy duty, but it's useful for when I want to wash my face but not do my full routine before I go to the gym in the morning.
I tried the Eve lom cleanser today and was disappointed - it felt like a cheap knock off of the Elemis balm cleanser. It seems to have a lot of fans though, but I don't get the hype.
The eye brow gel is a bit of a winner for me - I've been wanting to try one but could never quite commit to buying one. This is where the advent calendar comes into its own in getting me to try new things!!
