Holland & Barrett advent calendar opening thread

This is the thread for daily opening of the H&B advent calendar. As with all the threads, the only firm rule is not discussing a drawer's contents before the day. The usual timeline is no spoilers before 7am but we can agree a different time if people want to.

Candle today. I don’t use them as they set off my asthma, so this will be given away.

I like candles so am happy with this.

Love candles but also might give this one to niece!

It's a little dull and doesn't smell too strongly but I do like candles, especially at this time of year so will be used.

I don’t use candles so won’t be using this one. I don’t know anyone who uses them either!

I do like candles but couldn’t smell anything with this one. Hopefully it will smell good once it’s lit.

I like a candle, but as with my previous posts I'm fussy about scents! And this doesn't really smell of anything! Maybe once it's burning it will be better. Still, something different to get which is nice.

I had already marked it out as a gift for DM .
It is now wrapped and in the presents bag 😂.

Yes @bizzey great gift! Might also wrap it for someone (mil and DM don't do baths apparently!)

I love a good soak in the bath so I was very happy to get the bath salts. I was scratching my head a bit this morning as I thought there was a product in the advent calendar that we hadn’t had yet, but there are only a few boxes left and none seem the right size. I don’t have long to wait to find out if my memory is playing tricks on me. 😂

I think today is the day where you can get one of a few different items. I got the Himalayan bath salts which I’m very happy with as I have a long hot bath daily! I’m looking forward to using them later today.

Ohh yes. ..I just remembered..
The bath salts were advertised as different scents/ flavours.. and it was random what you got .

This is a DoD for me. I don't do baths. It's earmarked for regifting.

I don't have baths either. My son does though, maybe he'll enjoy the salts! That was the last thing in the calendar for me, as I took out all the DoDs ahead of time and gave them to a local charity for their tombola. I am not home on 23rd, so I also took that item out along with the salts.

I tried the toothpaste again this morning. I don't think I can get past the soapy taste. Showed it to DH and DS and they both said bleugh.

I couldn't find my list for today's door ...so I thought...well I will just open the door anyhow 😂...
It was empty!!!

Then I found my list and remembered I had already opened it as I knew it was to be a gift and I wanted to get the wrapping finished 😂😂😂😂😂!!

But....I forgot to look at it properly before wrapping 😂...

Are they sort of mini soap type of things ??

I love today's. I'm a big fan of Ethique, especially these minis as they are great for travelling. This pack contains a body scrub, body wash and deodorant bar.

Yes. Really pleased with today's too. I haven't used these before. I'm interested in the notion of the deodorant bar but not sure would it be messy to store during usage.

I do like these but they are just not very practical. Need little tins to keep them in. Might keep for holiday

I usually think these seem like a good idea but then don’t use them - particularly the shampoo and conditioner bars. I think can sit in the soap dish next to the bath and will get used. I probably won’t bother with the deodorant one though.

I use some tiny tupperware boxes that DS used to store Hama beads in for storage and travel. The deodorant is a bit of a faff to used and does break up eventually.

Unfortunately Ethique have ceased trading in the UK so no repurchases possible! I did stock up in their closing down sale when everything was 75% off though

I was thinking about keeping these for a holiday but that might be a waste as I wouldn’t be able to transport them back home if they haven’t been finished. I haven’t opened the box to see how they look; without tins I probably won’t remember which is which either!

This was the one that I thought wouldn’t fit in any of the remaining boxes. It’s a product I buy anyway so useful to have even if it’s not so much of a Christmas treat.
