Deep Plane Face Life

Looking for recommendations for a plastic surgeon for deep plane face and neck lift. There are a couple (with eye watering prices) who feature heavily on SM, but interested to hear of any others. I’m in London but happy to travel.

@LadyDancelot Shame nobody replied. I am also interested in the same topic…. I just had an eye watering quote today 😱

LadyDancelot · 07/12/2024 09:13

I've had quotes of 47K and 29k (face/neck/brow/fat transfer) - quite astonishing. Both surgeons London based.

F349 · 07/12/2024 11:28

@LadyDancelot Mine was £68K!! London based…

LadyDancelot · 07/12/2024 16:51

Surgeons I've heard good things about: George Orfaniotis; KShem Yapa; Dominic Bray, Raj Grover, Mark Pacifico and Anthony McQuillan. I was hoping someone might recommend a hidden gem, but seems you get what you pay for!

No recommendations but deep plane face lift is the best by a country mile. It's a lot more work, hence the price, but also diminishes the need for any other work for at least a decade. (It's what Kate Beckingsdale has had done and why she appears to have remained ageless.)

Doggymummar · 07/12/2024 17:05

Oof I had no idea they were so expensive.

F349 · 07/12/2024 17:11

@LadyDancelot Did you get a quote from all of them? Mine is from Dominic Bray

LadyDancelot · 07/12/2024 17:23

I knew yours would be from Dominic, @F349 . He’s the priciest at the moment I think, although I’ve heard Raj isn’t far off. Most have indicative pricing on their site so you can compare with Dominic’s quote. @chickenlettuceunderbacon thank you for the reassurance - such a high cost that it’s tempting to look at alternatives but it would be a case of buying cheap, buying twice!

Not sure if going abroad would be a good idea?

chickenlettuceunderbacon · 07/12/2024 17:39

@LadyDancelot Happy to be of service. A deep plane face lift tightens all layers, not just the skin. It's a much more thorough process, not to mention longer operation. This is why it's so expensive. There's just no substitute for them. You get exactly what you pay for. I believe Lindsay Lohan's recent glow up is mostly due to a deep plane face lift.

If money was no object, it is exactly what I would get done. (Thankfully, so far, I just need a good lasering which I plan to do in South Korea. Would remain in the UK for an actual face lift).

LadyDancelot · 07/12/2024 17:49

Yes, I agree to staying in UK.There’s Nayak in the US and Dubai but if something went wrong, you’re really stuck, plus better to have easy access to the surgeon. Dominic is known to be exceptional and unfortunately his prices have rocketed in past couple of years in line with his popularity - wish I’d nabbed him sooner hence wondering if there was a new ‘Dominic’ on the block. I didn’t see him as I knew his prices were out of my reach.

OP there have been a few posters in the last year or two who have posted about their face/ neck lifts - you could look for threads by CollagenQueen and WagsandClaws, or maybe send them a private message to ask about their experiences.

I'm pretty sure that WagsandClaws went to Bella Vous clinic in Tunbridge Wells to get hers done - I've looked at their website and their before and afters look pretty good, I think they charge about £30k (also offer it under local anaesthetic which sounds terrifying!)

I have also looked up Raj Grover, but as he works with celebrities (has done Kay Burleys facelift) and operates out of a very fancy hospital in London I'd say his prices are ridiculous. But his results look great.

As bad as some of the costs sound, I look at it as a good investment - don't cheap out on your face, you have to look at the results everyday.

The reason I'm keeping an eye on things is I plan to get one in the next 5 - 10 years, (I'm 40 now, and my face is holding up ok so far, but jowls run in my family so I'm planning ahead), I would prefer a more subtle look earlier, rather than waiting till I'm in my 60's for a drastic change, so doing lots of research.

soupfiend · 07/12/2024 18:23

I want this done, i was hoping that the figures in my head of about 40k, were well over the top but I see not

Can I ask were you happy with the results? how long did the recovery take?

F349 · 07/12/2024 20:42

@HornyHornersPinkyWinky I only asked for a quote via email… I did not even meet with him

LadyDancelot · 08/12/2024 10:36

@F349 Have a look at Kshem Yapa - getting good reviews and costs less than Dominic (which wouldn’t be hard).

OP posts:
LadyDancelot · 08/12/2024 10:38

Oh, and BelleVue in Tunbridge Wells as mentioned above - again, heard good things outside of Mumsnet.

I know there are reservations about going abroad, however when I need a facelift, I’ll be returning to Nordesthetics where I had my tummy tuck. Results are phenomenal, in the EU so standards of care and cleanliness are as high (higher in my experience) than that of the eu, plus an absolute fraction of the price.

F349 · 08/12/2024 11:24

@LadyDancelot Thank you very much I will look them up. Why does Dominic cost so much more than the others I wonder?

Ah ok, sorry I misunderstood. I was wondering what kind of amazingness the guts of 70 grand brings to a face...

HornyHornersPinkyWinky · 08/12/2024 11:26

There's another guy, based in the US called Amir Karam who seems to have fab results - but apparently charges up to $200k for his work - yikes!!

But again, he has a social media following and a YouTube channel. It seems many of them are good self promoters, maybe you have to be these days.

F349 · 08/12/2024 11:38

@HornyHornersPinkyWinky I follow him on YouTube… His results do look fab indeed.. He’s also based in San Diego which I love! Shame for the price point….

Yes, same! If I won the lottery he would be top of my list!

There's also Andrew Jacono in New York, who apparently is the guy who invented the deep plane lift or something. Anyway he's probably a similar price range.

It's interesting to watch Amir Karam's videos though, just to learn more about the technique, and also patient recovery.

The whole approach to face lifts seems to have improved massively in the last 20 years (thankfully!) - they also add some fat back in areas around the upper face that have lost volume, and do things like lip lifts and skin pinches under the eyes, just more of an overall holistic approach to the face, and the results look brilliant. They really don't look 'done' at all.

We're a long way from the scary wind tunnel look of the 80's...

F349 · 08/12/2024 12:17

@HornyHornersPinkyWinky Wind tunnel look 😂😂

I do exactly the same, I find their work fascinating and it’s so interesting to watch and learn more about how they operate. What an amazing career! I hope to be a top notch board certified plastic surgeon like Amir Karam in my next life 😃

shame they don’t offer finance plans!
