Deep Plane Face Life

Looking for recommendations for a plastic surgeon for deep plane face and neck lift. There are a couple (with eye watering prices) who feature heavily on SM, but interested to hear of any others. I’m in London but happy to travel.

@LadyDancelot Thank you, I took note of them. Would be good to have a consultation with each of them before proceeding.

LadyDancelot · 08/12/2024 13:14

@HornyHornersPinkyWinky This is what worries me - I'm looking at surgeons with a high SM presence - the US ones (Jocono etc) are in the region of 200K and I've heard totally unqualified rumours that even then it hasn't been all plain sailing with some of their clients. My brother is a surgeon (different body part) and cannot believe that people are flocking to Instagram to find their plastic surgeon. I don't want to ask him for recommendations as it's so far from his field but do feel there are great surgeons who aren't paying for social media/PR. I think Bray charges more purely because of demand (he's been able to raise his fees considerably within a short time span) - he allegedly has a very good aesthetic 'eye' which is apparently hard to find combined with excellent surgical techniques. @BuntyCollocks Thanks so much for reco - off to Google!

One of the recommendations that sounds good is to try and find a surgeon who specialises in facial plastic surgery, and who has years of experience.

They basically refine their technique and (in theory) should get better and better, especially if they are performing these operations everyday.

But it seems like those are the ones who are super expensive!

F349 · 08/12/2024 14:47

Would be interesting to know who each of us decides to go with after we have done all our homework 😊

3luckystars · 08/12/2024 14:51

If love one but can’t afford that. If I won money I would do it. What is the recovery time like?

I know there are reservations about going abroad, however when I need a facelift, I’ll be returning to Nordesthetics where I had my tummy tuck. Results are phenomenal, in the EU so standards of care and cleanliness are as high (higher in my experience) than that of the eu, plus an absolute fraction of the price.

Can I ask how much your tummy tuck cost?

candlerhyme · 08/12/2024 15:04

I can recommend James McDiarmid at Wood Medispa, Devon. He did my deep plane lift.

Of course! I was I think about £3600 not including my flights and accommodation. Mine was an extended fleur de lis tuck which is more extensive/invasive/expensive, but I lost 11 stone so it was required.

OP there have been a few posters in the last year or two who have posted about their face/ neck lifts - you could look for threads by CollagenQueen and WagsandClaws, or maybe send them a private message to ask about their experiences.

I'm pretty sure that WagsandClaws went to Bella Vous clinic in Tunbridge Wells to get hers done - I've looked at their website and their before and afters look pretty good, I think they charge about £30k (also offer it under local anaesthetic which sounds terrifying!)

I have also looked up Raj Grover, but as he works with celebrities (has done Kay Burleys facelift) and operates out of a very fancy hospital in London I'd say his prices are ridiculous. But his results look great.

As bad as some of the costs sound, I look at it as a good investment - don't cheap out on your face, you have to look at the results everyday.

The reason I'm keeping an eye on things is I plan to get one in the next 5 - 10 years, (I'm 40 now, and my face is holding up ok so far, but jowls run in my family so I'm planning ahead), I would prefer a more subtle look earlier, rather than waiting till I'm in my 60's for a drastic change, so doing lots of research.

The thing is, you want to do the work sooner, even before you need it. This way, your work is (almost) unnoticeable. As someone a decade older than you who has held up very very well without surgery, I still wish I'd have had a deep plane a few years ago when I first heard about it. Regrettably, you will find you literally age overnight, out of nowhere. It is really scary.

I know Sarah Jessica Parker has said she regretted not getting a face lift in her 40s as now she's older, it's too late and it would be too noticeable.

As an aside, for anyone thinking of threads, don't, they cause scar tissue which will compromise any future surgical work.

usernother · 08/12/2024 18:47

When you say it's more noticeable if you have a face lift when you're older, is this an issue because most people don't want it to be known that they'd had a face lift? Personally I wouldn't care.

soupfiend · 09/12/2024 07:00

I would bloody hope it is noticeable for that money!

F349 · 11/12/2024 23:19

Did any of you have a consultation with G. Orfaniotis?

HornyHornersPinkyWinky · 12/12/2024 19:44

I just looked him up, and his results look really good. Plus the price range is about £35k for a deep plane face and neck lift, which is pretty reasonable compared to some.

He's going on my list 😀

usernother · 12/12/2024 22:27

Mr Orfaniotis is definitely on my list now. Euromillions ticket has been purchased for tomorrow night.

shronwer · 12/12/2024 22:46

I've received quotes of £35k and £42k at London-based clinics. You could have it done in Lisbon for half the price and their plastic surgeons are excellent. At least as good as ours.

The UK and especially London is disproportionately overpriced. If you're looking at spending over £30k, get it done properly in the USA or Switzerland.

Can I ask your ages? I'm 46 and have 4 kids. I am trying to hold off fillers and a lift for a few more years. I get botox biannually and a tretinoin/hydroquinone mix from Monderma that has worked wonders to my lines and sun spots.

deltablue · 12/12/2024 23:44

Placemarking! Need to know this!

F349 · 11/01/2025 10:01

Ladies, Did any of you decide for a surgeon in the end?

Do you have any names of good Lisbon based surgeons?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/01/2025 00:34

I had a look on one of the websites ( for one of the surgeons mentioned )
It is very interesting ( I am not in the market for any surgery myself) . It is personal choice though and that persons money and time to do as they wish .

The before/after pictures - there were none where I thought "Bloody Hell what've you had done " they were subtle but I could see the improvement in the jaws and jowls especially

Like most before/after photos though they were smiling in the after ( not toothy grins but a smile ) which lifts the mouth and jaws and changes the eyes for the better anyway .

Same. I’m planning one in the next few years. I’m 60.
I haven’t got extreme aging anyway, some sagging, hardly any lines.
Im up North.
Andrea Marando in Altrincham is meant to be good. Don’t know his prices though.
Watching this thread with interest.

@LadyDancelot congratulations on making up your mind! If it didn’t occur to you before it means you have been happy with your look which is great! 🥰🤩 I’m in the process of making up my mind… sort of! Would love to keep in touch and exchange opinions. All the best!

I’m still in the saving/ researching stage - it might be a few years before can afford it sadly.

George Ofianotis is definitely on my list, his results look great.

Offredismysister · 26/03/2025 14:28

I’ve jumped on this thread as it’s something I’m considering in the next few years. There’s another thread running I thought I’d point you in the direction of, the OP has had great results, even so early on.
