Eugenie at the Poppy Ball dinner, in a dramatic evening dress. I really like it! I think there is some kind of cape effect thing going on with the sleeves. And her up-do is lovely.

Love that caped dress. So interesting and so elegant. Brava Eug.

I'm not keen on Eug's dress, but he'd hair and makeup is lovely and very pretty.

Aren't cold-shoulder dresses a bit dated now? I don't think that style of sleeve is very flattering on Eugenie.

I actually think she'd look great in the blue dress the woman next to her is wearing!

Where are her arms?

I love the dress itself and the colours/pattern, but the cold shoulder thing is a big no for me. She looks lovely though. Her arms are being held behind her back.

Eugenie's dress is very busy at the top with her shoulders out and whatever that cape arrangement is but the rest of the silhouette suits her and the pattern is nice. A simple sleeve would be more flattering.

I am not a fan of the cold shoulder thing. It is not very flattering to many body shapes. You need a really toned, square shoulder. I have always been particularly baffled by roll kneck jumpers with a cold shoulder detail 🤔

Poor Camilla still rough they say. She has to be so careful with Charles and Catherine too. They really don't need a chest infection. My husband is a martyr to chest infections since he had pleurisy, so grandchildren have to stay away.

I like Eug for switching it up - both of the York sisters ate quite open to different things aren’t they? The dress isn’t my cup of tea but her face and hair are great.

Semi-sheer black tights are very now apparently so she's on the button in fashion terms!

Kate looks well and happy. Hard to see what her dress is like but I'm assuming just something fairly simple and black.

I like Mary's green dress and Kate looks really well.

I went down a rather lovely pearl jewellery 'rabbit hole' this afternoon after reading another S&B thread that mentioned Mikimoto. Just need my lottery numbers to come good tonight.

Kate’s hair looks very glossy. She’s wearing her engagement ring.

Kate's pearl pendant is very similar to one I just got for my birthday. I am really enjoying wearing it although hers is more simply worn than I have been wearing mine. I have worn mine as part of two layered necklaces or a longer chain so it hangs to the stomach area. I also have a lovely paperclip necklace it goes on to give it a more modern look. I am really enjoying wearing it.

Sounds lovely Choux. I've always loved pearls as does one DIL. She wears them often as well. I'm really glad that they're fashionable again.

Kate on the balcony today. I like her hat and earrings but not keen on the tie on her coat, which is a bit Colonel Sanders.
