Recommend me a winter perfume

[Over40Overdating]

I usually wear Pomegranate Noir or Opium perfumes at this time of year but want to switch things up as haven’t had a new perfume for years.

I like heavy, woody, spiced smells, happy to wear unisex or male scents but not sweet and sugary.

Budget not an issue!

Chanel Exclusifs Coromandel. The ultimate winter scent. Comforting, grown up and receives so many compliments.

I also love Ryder Ex Idolo although might lean a little sweet. Tauer perfumes tend to be quite dry, I love L'air du Desert Marocain

@AlexandraJJ I did have a smell recently at a JL concession but none really appealed. It was a fairly sparse range though and focused on ouds which I don’t get on with. Any in particular you rate?

100% sensuous by estee Lauder (the original) winner woody heaven in a bottle. And a little goes a long way. I have got so many compliments when I wear it

Also Serge Lutens Chergui - this is heavier on the spice than Coromandel, a proper warming winter scent. Reminds me of a good hot toddy.

Heavenly opening, but the dry down on this is a little masculine for me and very woody - but that may be perfect for you as I suspect I lean more towards sweeter scents.

I like Marc Jacobs Decadence. I actually buy the dupes from Eden perfumes. They do sample boxes so you can order a few samples to see what you like. They'll also recommend other scents you might like based on your currently used perfumes.
