Recommend me a winter perfume

[Over40Overdating]

I usually wear Pomegranate Noir or Opium perfumes at this time of year but want to switch things up as haven’t had a new perfume for years.

I like heavy, woody, spiced smells, happy to wear unisex or male scents but not sweet and sugary.

Budget not an issue!

Second for Halfeti by Penhaligons also Tom Ford black orchid. Black orchid is my go to and people always comment on it.

Another vote for Halfeti and Chergui.

Jo Malone’s recent Hinoki and Cedarwood is divine, also Silver Birch and Lavender (more of a crisp wintery day scent) and English Oak and Hazlenut.

Another note for Coromandel but smell Sycomore too. That’s autumn for me.

My autumn fragrances are Penhaligons Halfeti, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, TF Eau D'ombre Leather.

The last TF one is new to my collection, I think it smells masculine when first sprayed but the dry down is beautiful and I'm obsessed with it at the minute.

My votes go to Halfeti, By The Fireside , Shazam! , Tauer L'air du Desert Marocain and Aesop Marrakech.

Clinique Aromatics Elixir is my ultimate. Woody, patchouli chypre, it's winter comfort in a spray.
Chanel Coco also on heavy rotation.

Chanel Coromandel, I have only tested but loved it so much.

If you like chypre try Dior Gris

Have you tried 'saltworks'? For £29 I bought a starter/sample kit of 12 miniature sprays to try before you buy a travel size or full size perfume (mine was the discovery set).
Organic & natural oils - the fragrances last for a long time on the skin.
I love 5 of them so trying to decide which one to buy as full size 😊

Another for Liz Earle No 15 - my absolute favourite for autumn & winter. Something about Close to My Heart by Bella Freud always smells wintry to me but I’ve just looked it up and it’s out of stock everywhere so I’m thinking it’s been discontinued 😢
