Found some comfortable knickers!

outforawalkbiatch · 27/09/2024 17:56

I used to wear the M&S sumptuously soft before they rebranded them and made them shit

Picked these up from Asda randomly and they're really good. Big, cover everything, soft, stretchy and not entirely hideous so recommending if anyone is looking
Not tight over the stomach/band either or or the leg holes
Sizing seems fairly standard

Wirapa shorts are my fave...I have the longer length and shorter ones.

JohnTheRevelator · 28/09/2024 08:12

Agree! I have had years of trouble trying to find some comfortable knickers that actually fit properly. Then I discovered these a few weeks ago. Result!

purpleclaire · 28/09/2024 08:25

Matalan and Primark sell very similar ones to those Asda knickers. I love them - they fit really well and are so comfy. I wear them all the time now and my teenage daughter has also started wearing them.

VictoryOrDeath · 28/09/2024 08:35

I wear M&S Flexifit modal low rise shorts in a size bigger than I am - they're so comfortable.

Nothinglikeagoodbook · 28/09/2024 05:17

I recommend these too. Have multiple pairs. Worn them for years.

Dreamstosell · 28/09/2024 10:13

These Amazon ones are the most comfortable I’ve found in years

I have these but they ride up my arse. I have quite a big behind but a small waist so I find it very difficult to find knickers that actually cover me AND stay up. Also can't bear anything with a lacy or scalloped trim.

The only ones I've found to be comfortable and stay put are these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B5KX1T8B?ref=pe27063361487360311302EDDEdt1

I'd like some higher rise ones though, not sure if they do them.

MichaelandKirk · 28/09/2024 18:08

With regard to VPL - I find going a size up helps.

HighPrecisionGhosts · 27/09/2024 22:56

Yes but I bought my 1st pair from.them.about 4 or 5 years ago and still wearing them (obviously I chsnge my knickers at least once a day). So got my monies worth out of them.

You have more money than some to consider these

wirarpa Ladies Knickers from Amazon! Best big comfy knickers I've ever tried

I’ve got their long legged knickers. Ideal for preventing chub rub.

My kind of thread thanks OP.

I've recently had hell with any underwear with elastic. The edging on anything gives me extreme itching. Plus any seams rubbing on my hips. I've taken to wearing knickers inside out😂

OP I wonder is this also a symptom of endo like you say?

I have sensory issues and can't bear the elastic - I just cut it off! Pants stay up just fine for me (m&s cotton stretch).

It's been an absolute game changer for me - I used to get rubbed raw by the elastic but no more!

menohnopausal · 28/09/2024 20:04

Wirapa All. The. Way.

They ended my five year quest for comfy knickers. They're the pants that would be designed for men if men were women.

Jaehee · 28/09/2024 20:24

Could somebody please link to the wirapa ones? I can see several types on Amazon (sorry if I’ve missed a link).

menohnopausal · 28/09/2024 20:38

@Jaehee these are the ones I have. They actually look much better on than in that photo.

I didn't actually realise they come in different styles. I'm intrigued to see if the other wirarpa fans have the other styles.

Ireolu · 28/09/2024 20:39

I bought the amazon ones. Hated them, found them really uncomfortable with the band. They went in the bin
Bought boody also uncomfortable. Also in the bin. Annoying as quite expensive
Sloggi ones were comfortable but fell apart within 6 months. Disappointed. Won't part with money for those again.
M&S pricing is OK but once again they fall apart.
Have now ordered a load from Sainsbury's based off the earlier recommendations. Will wait and see but won't hold my breath.

menohnopausal · 28/09/2024 20:41

To expand on why I like them: the cotton is thick and soft. The waist band is also soft (I'm not keen on the ones that have that contrasting elastic band). Because they're shortie style, you generally don't get a VPL.

PecanThePony · 28/09/2024 20:43

Next underwear is the confident I have found and reasonably priced

Terfified · 28/09/2024 22:51

FictionalCharacter · 27/09/2024 22:12

I bought these after a recommendation on here and I don’t like them! They are very high and the waistband is very thick. Back to Sloggi for me.

I bought Wirapa too after a recommendation from here and felt exactly the same. Absolutely horrible. Felt cheap and nasty and that's the only way I can describe them.

Terfified · 28/09/2024 22:55

Nsky62 · 28/09/2024 19:54

Wot! They start at just over £5 a pair.

TheGoddessMinerva · 28/09/2024 23:05

Wirapa all the way here. I like the ones with a wide, grey waistband.

ObieJoyful · 28/09/2024 23:09

leafybrew · 27/09/2024 18:06

Thanks for starting the thread - those look okay. But if anyone can link to an even plainer comfy knickers (without lace?) I'd be grateful

Boody. The big ones.

Love ‘em!!

outforawalkbiatch · 28/09/2024 23:10

This is why I was so pleased with them just in case anyone else is dealing with it
Both photos the same day, I swell so much that I can't stand a tight waistband at all now

Found some comfortable knickers!
