Found some comfortable knickers!

I used to wear the M&S sumptuously soft before they rebranded them and made them shit

Picked these up from Asda randomly and they're really good. Big, cover everything, soft, stretchy and not entirely hideous so recommending if anyone is looking
Not tight over the stomach/band either or or the leg holes
Sizing seems fairly standard

Thanks for starting the thread - those look okay. But if anyone can link to an even plainer comfy knickers (without lace?) I'd be grateful

Yes! I recently bought 2 pairs from Rapanui. Plain but not hideous. They feel great. Not the cheapest so I hope they last

Chantelle are fantastic. One size, can’t be seen through clothing. Amazingly comfortable. I buy the high waist but they do do midi. Available from John Lewis.

Wish they did super soft without the lace.

They do but they don't look like full brief, I think they do shorts too

(I don't work for Asda!)

I just got a pair of big pants from Boux Avenue. They're super comfortable. They are definitely as comfortable as a pair of big M&S pants, which surprised me.

It's these ones and they're on sale at the moment too.

I found my Asda ones disintegrated quite quickly. Disappointing.

Broop · 27/09/2024 22:07

I’m on a lifelong quest to find the perfect knicker: the best ones I’ve ever had were from primark around 5 years ago and I’ve never seen them again since. I bought a pack of the wirapa ones and threw them away, they’re ok on the waist but I’ve never had such ridiculous VPL from a pair of pants, I HATED them!

wirarpa Ladies Knickers from Amazon! Best big comfy knickers I've ever tried

I bought these after a recommendation on here and I don’t like them! They are very high and the waistband is very thick. Back to Sloggi for me.

ShangPie · 27/09/2024 22:15

@outforawalkbiatch can I ask about the gusset? Is it ridiculously tiny like most pants now, or is it generous?

(not questions I normally ask strangers on the internet but hey ho)

You're in luck as I bought new colours so I have brand new pairs and a tape measure
Wider than the crap pair I have from next, and similar to M&S, possibly a bit wider

Boody. 100%. I get all of mine from there. So soft, so comfortable. As long as they carry on making knickers of this quality I will continue to buy. They never ride up or feel like they are digging in.

Expensive

Yalz · 27/09/2024 22:33

Allbirds.

I love a bargain and these are not, but the Trino ones are so comfortable, made from 65% TENCELâ„¢ Lyocell (eucalyptus fibre) 28% Merino Wool, and 7% Spandex. No elastic around the legs.

My favourite shape is the Shortie but they are currently out of stock except for sizes XL and XXXL.

These are fab and so comfy, have loads

Edited

These are the only knickers I wear, I went back and bought a few packs as they are just so comfortable.

MsJacksonIfYoureNasty · 27/09/2024 22:44

@Nsky62 They are definitely not cheap but they wash well, keep their shape etc. I’ve had some pairs for years and they don’t look any different to the new ones.

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 27/09/2024 22:47

Jo, Sew, Knit makes the best knickers. The back covers your whole arse, they end at that crease between bum and leg hence no VPL

Yes but I bought my 1st pair from.them.about 4 or 5 years ago and still wearing them (obviously I chsnge my knickers at least once a day). So got my monies worth out of them.

Shuttheblinds · 28/09/2024 00:26

Boody are the best ones I have ever worn. Have M&S, JL, Sainsburys and Sloggi but nothing compares to my Boody ones, they wash so well too and mine look as good as new still. I have endo too and I don’t even know I’m wearing them they are so comfy and never ride up.

I can only find brightly coloured ones on there at the moment but I normally buy black/white/nude ones and I swear by them they are SO soft and too elastic around the bands

outforawalkbiatch · 28/09/2024 03:27

Couple of people have said Sainsburys, I'm off there tomorrow so will have a browse at what they have

Wirapa knickers, since I have discovered them I live & die in them, they are so comfortable.

I bought those Amazon ones too! They are horrible.
I was boiled alive in them.

😊

I'm on a similar quest to find knickers that don't give me VPL.

Suggestions warmly welcomed.
