100 days princessing

Fatandforty1984 · 15/09/2024 19:41

Does anyone fancy a 100 days princessing thread that will take us to Christmas Day, I need to sort myself and my life out!!

OP posts:
WinchSparkle80 · 15/09/2024 19:44

Yes! On a weight loss mission also!

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 15/09/2024 19:48

I was on the last thread but it’s sort of limping along so I’m up for joining another as I do find them quite motivating. The last one got me motivated to do several self-care habits which have become routine now, so would be brilliant to stack on top of those now. As a result of the last thread, am pretty on top of skin care on face and body, hair care, make up and nails. I have even been able to commit to one of those footner masks every three months or so - so my feet don’t even look terrible!

Goals for this thread:

  • continue with above successes.
  • exercise 3x per week.
  • foot cream every night to keep on top of it.

100 days til Christmas seems like a good time frame, and is actually the motivation I need to get myself to the gym tomorrow. Thank you for starting this thread!

DirtyDensDog · 15/09/2024 19:52

I'm in.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/09/2024 20:21

100% Xmas Grin

We have a short break booked in December so I need to be wearing my evening attire ( Formal Night / dining ) plus some nice but functional Walking About The City Clothes .

I have a leopard coat ( from about 6 uears ago ! ) but they are A/W fashion again so I'm ahead here .

Booked to have my hair cut/ styled and I will use a temporary wash in dye next weekend .
I bought DD an IPL but I don;'t know if it;ll work for me , maybe in my legs as the hairs are still dark but sparse (Im a waxer/epilator user and going grey )

Weight loss will be my aim, not sure if I have a target weight but aiming for some improvement .

thenewaveragebear1983 · 15/09/2024 20:31

Meeeeeeee!!!!!

Exercise is fine, I am training for a marathon.
However, the downside of that is I'm eating absolute crap, my feet are, quite frankly, a disgrace, and I look and feel thoroughly neglected from the inside out.

My princessing goals

  • take better care of my teeth
  • keep on top of my hair colouring instead of having 1inch of white roots
  • stretch my poor aching body. I am aiming for 1 full body yoga a week, but intend to build this up
  • sleep better (this is hard, I sleep ok but u don't get enough, but with busy life it's very hard to actually get to bed before 10pm)
  • eat a much more nutritious diet of whole foods, cut out sugar, and massively reduce my bread and dairy intake.
  • alcohol- ideally none but realistically I will drink a few times - DD's 21st, dh's birthday, plus going to see frank skinner in November.
  • sort out my wardrobe, dress nicer even though I'm wfh, and generally try a bit harder not to look like I can't be bothered.
NotMilanese · 15/09/2024 20:37

Okay, I'm in! Would love to look a bit better, lose a bit of weight, be a bit healthier, and be a bit more 'together,' both appearance-wise and with regards to organisation! Just got back from a short break where I may have had cake twice a day, so I'm ahead just stopping that!

Goals:
-Use weights 3 times a week
-Get to bed by 10 every night
-Eschew alcohol on weeknights
-Drink 6 glasses of water a day
-Get thirty veg a week--eat veg and fruit instead of biscuits for snacks
-Lose 5 pounds
-Sunday spa nights--face mask or nails (toes or fingers)
-Connect with loved ones on a regular basis--now kids are older it's harder
-Find some kind of system for getting on top of Christmas, which we are hosting this year--nothing says Princess like a calm and collected attitude!

Will be watching for more suggestions as these seem rather basic. Thanks for the thread @Fatandforty1984!

SunshineInMySprocket · 15/09/2024 20:40

Oh yes, I’m in for this!

PersephonePomegranate23 · 15/09/2024 20:41

Me please!

I've been letting things slide generally this year. Weight has been a bit of an ongoing battle, lots of good habits slipping.

My goals:

Lose half a stone at least (a stone would be ideal)

Stop snacking on junk and look for nourishing alternatives

Moisturise my feet daily

Moisturise legs daily and shave (even when it's winter and they're mostly hidden)

Get back into yoga

I need to back back into a positive mindset and be more mindful about what I'm doing!

UpUpUpU · 15/09/2024 20:47

Me!! I am currently 20lbs over weight, lazy, spotty, peri and feel gross.

Will update tomorrow on my goals!

Good luck everyone.

Bohomovies · 15/09/2024 20:54

I'm in. I want to;

  • Do at least ten minutes of yoga a day
  • Use urea foot cream most days
  • Get some of those Tatti false eyelashes that last up to a week
  • Treat myself to a balayage
  • Drink enough water
  • Make sure I IPL my body once a week
  • Keep up with my LED mask

As a result of my efforts and a similar thread previously, I'm now doing these things regularly;

  • Keep fingernails painted most days
  • Use my heatless curler regularly so my hair looks done
  • Wearing perfume daily
  • Light makeup most days
  • 5,000 steps a day minimum
  • Eating a really good diet most days
thenewaveragebear1983 · 15/09/2024 21:24

@Bohomovies what are the heatless curlers you mention please?

Lookingforaneedleinanhaystack · 15/09/2024 21:29

I'm in!

Currently on a big weight loss mission.

I'm going away for a week in November so I probably will have a break during that time.

Need to think of my specific goals but basically be the best version of me (I know right 🤢)

Drawahardline · 15/09/2024 22:32

yup! Here’s my list
• Go to the gym 3 times a week
• Yoga w/ DW as she loves it Grin
• walk the dog more as DW is sick of doing it Grin
• Eat healthy

then for appearance,
•Facial
•Proper skincare routine
•new clothes (trying to make a capsule wardrobe)
•Hair done
•shave more than I do Hmm

lets go ladies!

Solongtoshort · 15/09/2024 23:03

Oh yes please!!

Drink water, no sugary drinks.

in bed by 10 (failed today).

3 self care hours a week.

c25k and 30 day shred.

no eating between meals.

l am also going to try rubbing magnesium oil on my feet to see if it will help me sleep through the night.

Bring on Christmas .

whosthefoolnow · 15/09/2024 23:12

Ooh I've never heard of this before. I like it. Count me in.

BloodyWolves · 16/09/2024 07:02

Me please! I am a nightmare for starting a good habit then giving up after a week 🤨

Ive been on a weight loss mission for the past six months so keeping up with that as the nights draw in and stew with white bread and butter come calling is a must!

Staying on top of my skincare routine. I look so much brighter when I do it consistently.

Hair masks! Use up some of the elasticizer I’ve acquired through the years! My hair started the year dyed black and it’s been in the process of going blonde since. It’s now a colour ds described as ‘gold’ and while it’s not in awful nick… it could do with some care.

Stop waiting until legs and armpits are at wilder-beast level before shaving.

Try and cut down on caffeine and remember to consistently drink more water. I’m not bad for water consumption but I could be a lot better!

BloodyWolves · 16/09/2024 07:18

Oh and walk the dog more consistently for longer! She comes on the morning school run currently and when I can be arsed on the weekend. Up until the summer holidays I was walking her fast paced for an hour on a hilly route every day. I need to do that again.

Pokerprincess · 16/09/2024 07:57

I'm in! Perfect timing. I need to loose half a stone, eat and sleep better and do more yoga. Ideally daily as I can surely fit that in rather than watching some rubbish on telly!

UpUpUpU · 16/09/2024 07:58

I am going to start with simple as I am a bit down and depressed with peri and struggling with life. This morning I will do a full body exfoliate and moisturise and a facial and use my ultra sonic teeth cleaner. I will aim to go out for a walk too as it is a lovely day.

I joined a swim challenge last week that I haven't started yet but I will start tomorrow as I wont have time today.

I have been drinking more this week trying to stave off my low mood and I always get enough sleep so those areas are already good.

Good luck everyone.

Heatless curls are easy but the satin tube style curler did not work for my hair at all - it just fell out overnight. I could not figure out how the TikTok girls were getting such great results (and I watched hundreds of ‘heatless curl tutorials’) until I bought one on Amazon which looks more like a dressing gown cord and it’s absolutely brilliant! It stays in all night and is much much softer to sleep in.

So! Day 1 starts now! I have a wfh day today and then I will go to the gym this evening and then have an ‘everything’ shower with fake tan etc. Retinol mask used overnight last night. My gel nail polish could do with a refresh but I’m going away this weekend so I’ll do them on Thursday evening.

Feeling quite motivated. I will be glam, healthy and happy by Christmas! (This is particularly important as I always feel that by the end of the year I am mentally and physically exhausted and always look a fright, so fingers crossed I can make this effort to look better this year).

FunkSoulBother · 16/09/2024 09:10

I'm in !
I find one thing at a time easier. My first thing is sleep routine.

Wind down 9.30pm here for 10pm bedtime.

UpUpUpU · 16/09/2024 21:59

So today I did my facial skin care routine am and pm. I have recently just been throwing a bit of water on my face and moisturiser, so that felt nice.

Teeth routine am and pm too. Again, can be pretty lax when m feeling down.

Had a lovely few hours with my partner, we got some much needed adult time then walked into town for lunch (8k steps) and a glass of wine, then had a lovely evening at the park with my 6 year old.

Tomorrow I start my swim challenge and I’d like
to lose some weight before a big even on the 13th November

GameOfJones · 16/09/2024 22:17

I'd like to join please! I've made a good start already this year but there are habits I'd really like to add.

Things I'm already doing and will continue:

✅ 16-8 intermittent fasting
✅ Facial skincare morning and night
✅ Body lotion after every shower
✅ Light makeup most days
✅ Keratin blow drys

Habits I'd like to work on are:

👸🏻 Drinking more water
👸🏻 Daily 15 mins of yoga
👸🏻 Taking better care of my nails
👸🏻 Applying my gradual tan more regularly
👸🏻 Shaving more regularly
👸🏻 Stop wearing frumpy clothes
