Does anyone fancy a 100 days princessing thread that will take us to Christmas Day, I need to sort myself and my life out!!

Ooh, can I please lurk/ask for advice now and again? I don't do girlie or groomed very well, and I'd love to change that. Don't get me wrong, I'm clean and tidy! But I lack polish. I'm a bit rough around the edges, so hoping to gain inspiration and wisdom!

Hi all - what day of princessing are we on now?

My mid week check in:

❌Hair: Hair still a mess although I've found a decent way to manage it till my appt on Saturday,
Face: I have bought the Fenty skin tint and its amazing. This, concealer, blush and mascara makes me look really done even though its so low effort. Have put a face on since last Friday and love it!
Body/Clothes: Since my feminine Friday, I've tried planning my outfits the night before. Definitely an improvement here.
Fasting: Going well. Down 5lbs since the start of Sept!
Steps: Still stepping and have so far averaged a day this week. Some days less, some days more, but good average overall.
🍒I've made it a thing to wear earrings and a bracelet everyday. It just looks like I made an effort.

Overall, this thread is helping me more in my princess era. As it gets colder and wetter, its going to take more thought in getting my outfits together - but I'm up for the challenge.

✅ Mindful dressing - take the time each evening to get my clothes out. Helping less stressful mornings.
✅ Spend some money on some nice new clothes.
✅ Continue my weight loss - be 80kg for 1st December.
✅ Pull an extra hair colouring in in December. Costly but I want to feel good for Christmas.
✅ Yes to some more family photos.
✅ Treat myself with the same kindness I treat my friends I'd never say what I knock myself down with to any of my friends.
❌ Using my new physical disabilities as an excuse for eating rubbish.

Morning all, Its been quiet on here (although I have also been awol for a bit too).

How is everyone doing on this journey of 'princessing'? This is my 4th week of taking myself more seriously lol

To continue
✅Face: I've been doing a simple face everyday. I love it and will continue
✅Skin: Current routine seems to be working.... continue with the consistency
Clothes: Keep laying out clothes the night before
Feminine Friday: I have fallen i love with this, must continue
✅Accessories: Keep up with wearing a few bits of jewellery daily

To Do/To Start
🔶Nails Get my nails and feet done (booked in for next week)
🔶Wax Get a wax (also booked in for next week)
🔶Fasting: Take my fasting more seriously (18:6 at least)
🔶Steps: Aim for 16k steps a day this week

I've also popped my cuticle oil on my work desk along with my lip balm and hand cream.

rokaaroundthechristmastree · 08/10/2024 10:59

Have managed to gym 6 days this month, and making it a 7th today!
Aiming to drink more water and a peppermint tea before bed each day.
Have a haircut booked next week, and had my gels permanently taken off my toes for the first time in maybe 4 years... have bought the OPI Nail Envy as advised by my nail tech to repair them.

Otherwise, trying to get Vitamin D where possible by getting out for autumn walks when I'm not too exhausted. Sleep has been evading me at night, had a bought of Covid recently and work stuff was keeping me up.

Hello Hello!

Another successful Feminine Friday for me as I end week 4 of this new me!

Hair in a pony, make up, black denim skirt, striped jumper (black, white beige), tights and black chelsea boots. This one got me a lovely few compliments today ❤

Apart from the things that I hope are now part of my routine,

Hair: I've started massaging oil into the front of my hair (pp hair loss hasn't been kind to me)
Nails Got a french pedicure this week
Fasting & Steps Have been pretty good with my fasting and 15k steps (16k seems to be a stretch on an average work day)
✅Got my upper lip and chin threaded (hair grows, but not where i need it to)
❌Nails Get my hands done (booked in for next week)
❌Wax Get a wax (also booked in for next week)

How's princessing going for everyone?

@rokaaroundthechristmastree - hope the sleep has gotten better?

Following for inspiration!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/11/2024 01:39

Bumping as I know it hasn't surfaced for a while but there's only 45 days to go now !

I used exfoliante today , I know a lot of people don;t like physical ones but my skin does feel nice and smooth now .

Hair being done next week , I'll do a deep conditionng treatment tomorrow then after it;s cut I'll use the hair dye ( I use Bleach London toner (semi-permanent )

Did some wardrobe sorting

That's it for now

thenewaveragebear1983 · 10/11/2024 06:58

Thanks for bumping @70isaLimitNotaTarget , I need a little push I think!

Things I've been doing:

  • Got new foundation from il makiage, it is really nice and is an absolute perfect match
  • Taking my b vitamins and magnesium in the morning, and my iron and vitamin c in the evening
  • I've noticed that my skin is looking nice, fresher and glowy.

I've not been doing too well at the diet and I'm drinking quite frequently, it's just that time of year now, we have something on every single weekend up to xmas now.
I haven't lost any weight and I think actually I've gained!

I did a big sort out of clothes and I am going to put a load on vinted, except it's left me with not much to wear. I did buy some nice dark jeans from Sainsbury's, and a nice satin t/shirt from vinted. Actually, I got a really nice lightweight black hoodie from Sainsbury's as well. Maybe today I'll do a big try on session and move a few things to the loft.

My goal for the next 6 weeks is to get my diet sorted and stop just mindlessly eating junk. Realistically I won't be losing loads before Christmas but I might maintain it and that means I don't have loads and loads to get off in January.

Fullofthejoysofspring · 10/11/2024 10:15

Just read this thread through from the beginning and it's really inspirational. This is possibly going to sound weird but it's almost like I've been waiting for someone to "give permission" for me to focus on myself a bit! I'm emerging from the fog of early years parenting just in time for teenage hormones (youngest is now 3 and eldest has just turned 13) and I really need to find a way to keep stress levels down and also feel better about myself. This thread has some brilliant ideas, so off to make myself a cuppa and come up with my own goals!

Wingingit11 · 10/11/2024 11:00

@Fullofthejoysofspring I completely agree! I was really inspired by this thread when it first came out and I have made some big changes over the last couple of months. It’s an ongoing project but I feel much happier!

VenusStarr · 12/11/2024 18:22

I've been watching this thread for a while and have been making some small changes.

🌟 I walk a minimum of 8000 steps every day
🌟 use vitamin C serum every evening and have got some nice compliments on my skin
🌟 aim for 4 pints of water a day
🌟 have had my hair cut today for the first time since Feb! Given me a boost
🌟 painted my nails and toe nails today
🌟 lifted and tinted my eyelashes and brows today

I am aiming to use my face massager every evening (need to get into the habit before bed).
Also try and read for 10 minutes in bed instead of playing on my phone.

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 12/11/2024 18:39

I was glad to see this thread pop up today! I had a massage and facial over the weekend and did a fair bit of exercise so I feel quite ‘princessy’ which is lovely.

While there’s definitely a lot to be improved these thread have definitely helped me get into some good routines. My face and body skin care has become a daily habit now and I’m much better at doing my gel nails and painting my toenails etc.

Desperately need to get into a good routine for exercise for both physical and mental though. That will be my focus for the last 50 days of the year and hopefully I will take that into 2025 as a priority.

ChiaraMontague · 12/11/2024 19:44

Yes please!

I've got a few appointments booked to help with festive princessing :

  • personal shopping at John Lewis (I've told them that I'm looking for an outfit for the work Christmas party at a posh venue, and a couple of smart-casual outfits for other festive events. Got this booked in for next week - I always end up overly stressed about finding outfits, so I decided to outsource this!
  • haircut and colour and eyebrow tint and tidy, both booked for the last week of November
I will also try to book in a facial and a mani-pedi for early December.

I'll have a look through the thread and my lists from the last round of princessing and think of some practical goals.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/11/2024 23:06

Hair cut , nice and swishy , I had quite a bit cut off but not short , I have Been There , Done That and went through the aggro of growing it .

I am using my lovely Rituals shower foam at the weekends to give myself a touch of luxury ( Faith In Nature for work , I don;t need to be fussy , just clean)

The hair dye can wait till next weekend
