100 days princessing

Fatandforty1984 · 15/09/2024 19:41

Does anyone fancy a 100 days princessing thread that will take us to Christmas Day, I need to sort myself and my life out!!

OP posts:
SunshineInMySprocket · 17/09/2024 08:06

Good morning,

So many great ideas in here already!

I’m going to aim for:

Losing 6kg
Maintaining daily 10,000 steps
Cook nutritious food & take collagen/supplements
Drinking more water
Keeping nails looking tidy and cared for
Doing hair each day
Skin care, morning and night
Adding seasonal, quality pieces to wardrobe

I’ve got a minimal wardrobe at the moment, which I’m happy with but could do with a few extra pieces for winter. I’ve been working on a daily walking habit which is fairly ingrained now. I’m a month into taking daily collagen and my hair has definitely benefited from it already. I’m going to go and tidy up my nails this very minute!

goingdownfighting · 17/09/2024 08:11

Yes I'm in!!!

Mine is skin care and body moisturising

Cardio and strength training

Reducing stress.

Losing about 5lb

Eating better

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 17/09/2024 08:26

I started strong yesterday.

  • Foot scrub and moisturiser.
  • re-started couch25k.
  • drank enough water for once across the day so I wasn’t a dehydrated husk by the end of it.
WeAreTheThirteen · 17/09/2024 09:16

I’d love to join in. I could do with a little princessing.

I have already started a healthy eating plan and am cutting down on the alcohol. We have spent the summer drinking cocktails and barbecuing.

Will have a think about what else I want to do and post later today.

GameOfJones · 17/09/2024 09:48

Yesterday was decent.

✅ 4 mile walk
✅ Vegetable soup for dinner
✅ Foot cream applied
✅ Body lotion after bath
✅ Tried out some new makeup

madamim · 17/09/2024 10:20

I'll join!!

It'll have to be slowly because when I add too many it goes to pot.

I'm aiming for every week:
Swimming Monday
Walk on Wednesday
Yoga Friday
Aquafit on Sunday

These are all in the evening.

Also going to start back my evening skincare routine, its not complicated but I am lazy and can't be bothered but my skin looks so much better the next when I do, do it!

UpUpUpU · 17/09/2024 11:52

I started my swim challenge today and banked 50 of a target 1416 lengths.

Full body moistured and teeth routine. Hair washed and conditioned.

Will go for a walk with my son after school too.

MangoLove · 17/09/2024 12:44

This sounds right up my street! Cani Join please.

I'm sick and tired of not feeling 'beautiful' over the Christmas period when I end up seeing some many family and friends.

I started this year with 'leveling up' in mind and so have many things locked in already. I had a bunch of dentist appts to sort of fillings/polishing etc. I've moisturised everyday since i was born (a mum non negotiable). I'm also pretty good with doing/getting my nails done.

My princessing goals are:

Hair
✅Keep on top of my hair - I have extensions in now - but have booked in for a refresh on Sept 28th. I need to make sure I have something booked in about 8 weeks after that

Body
✅18:6 Fasting at least 5 times a week with mindful eating on other days
✅Weigh in at 80kg or less by Dec 1st
✅Pedicure in Oct and another in Dec with at home care in between
✅Keep on top of my hair removal (waxing and shaving)

Skin/Teeth/Treatments
✅Continue with my current skin care routine
✅Lashes in Oct (for holiday) and Dec (for Christmas)

Clothes
✅Get dressed everyday! Don't just throw anything on. Even if its a gym outfit, put thought into putting the bits together.
✅Aggressively declutter the things that should no longer be in my wardrobe
✅Making sure that even when I'm staying home - I look presentable.

On this journey, I've read that everyday 'leveling up' consists of 3 things.
💛Hair💛 Make Up 💛Clothes.
On any day, you should have 2 out of 3 of these in check and you should look put together. Most days for me are non-make up, so I need to make sure that i always have presentable hair and thought out outfits.

What do you all find the hardest part of this 'princessing' journey?

GameOfJones · 18/09/2024 14:23

Yesterday:

✅ Another walk
✅ More vegetables with dinner
✅ Used my foot massager
✅ Bought a new serum and used it before my moisturiser

I really need to work on the clothes. I'm overweight and it's too easy to feel rubbish and just pull on leggings and a t shirt that do nothing for me and make me feel even worse! I know with a bit of thought I can look and feel better in my clothes even if I'm not happy with my weight.

Jabtastic · 18/09/2024 14:25

This would be excellent 👌 I have a formal in mid December to aim for. I'm considering getting weight loss jabs to help me shift some kilos before then.

UpUpUpU · 18/09/2024 22:14

I’ve done well today!

addrd another 70 lengths to my swim challenge, am and pm skincare and teeth routine, full body exfoliate and lots of water.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/09/2024 06:26

I ordered myself a few autumnal bits on vinted which arrived yesterday. I need to move my summer stuff out of my wardrobes and stick a load on vinted myself.

I have a footner to use this weekend to sort my post summer running feet out

I've been taking my iron and other vitamins. I have sachet of collagen powder but it needs taken in juice and we have run out so I need to order that.

I've not exercised as much as I normally would because I have hurt my hip running on Sunday. I need to do some yoga and I plan to do this tonight while dh is at football.

My food has not been great this week, (this month!) so I need to get my head back in the game, but will need to do a proper shopping order really. We've been doing very bitty top ups which are expensive and I just feel like we've never got any food in.

lisam78 · 19/09/2024 08:35

Can I join?
I love these threads, and find them really supportive and motivating. I joined one last summer, and it started me off on an exercise and healthy eating journey, and I've lost 23lbs since then. My initial target was to lose another 7lbs, but I feel quite happy where I am, so it's not a huge focus for me. I'd like to continue:

  1. Weight training x3 per week
  2. Either yoga/pilates x2 per week
  3. Daily dog walk (aim for 10k steps)
  4. Continue healthy eating, reducing UPF's and limiting alcohol.
  5. Keep up hairdresser and eyebrow wax and tint.
  6. Daily moisturising

What I need to work on:

  1. Drink more water and less coffee
  2. Remember to take supplements
  3. Keep on top of nails!
  4. Use up face and hair masks in bathroom cupboard
  5. Start face yoga - some of the weight loss has come from my face unfortunately!
  6. Keep listening to inspiring and educational podcasts/books on women's health and nutrition. I've honestly learned so much already, and want to keep learning.
  7. Try meditation- I get so wound up by daily life, I think if i can learn how to breathe my way calm i won't lose my shit so often!

That's enough for now!

MangoLove · 19/09/2024 10:28

Hi all, a mid week check in on the week so far

❌Hair still a mess, appointment next Saturday
✅ Fasting going well, ,was in the office yesterday so no fast, but back on it today
✅Decent outfit choices. I want to wear a dress tomorrow (So I'll need to shave my legs)
✅I've done my face today, tinted moisturiser, concealer, blush and gloss. Feels really good.
✅Steps are a bit blah (but still have a decent average) - need to keep it up and see if i can match last weeks step count.

Hows it all going with you all. I should probably get my brows threaded soon and potentially think about a tint - does anyone do their own tints at home?

FlowerPowerx3 · 19/09/2024 11:20

I would love to join as well!

What I'd like to continue:

  1. Take vitamins and supplements daily
  2. Yoga 2x per week
  3. Pilates 2 x per week
  4. AM and PM skincare
  5. Nails appointment every 3 weeks

What I'd like to start:

  1. Walk home with DC instead of taking the metro
  2. In bed by 10 pm
  3. Moisturise feet more regularly
  4. Drink less coffee, more tea
  5. Eat 2 servings of fruit per day

Let's see how this goes Wink

It’s this one!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Heatless-Curlers-Headband-Velour-Comfortable/dp/B0CDQ2D9SG/ref=asc_df_B0CDQ2D9SG/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696285193871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12458217228742457990&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9181181&hvtargid=pla-2281435177378&psc=1&mcid=52cc022a399d34369b7407ac3c0fad3b&hvocijid=12458217228742457990-B0CDQ2D9SG-&hvexpln=74&gad_source=1

It’s super easy to use and the curls last all day for me.

Yesterday was a not so great princessing day (my diet was genuinely shocking) but I started strong today with a swim before work which made me feel very virtuous. Going to paint my nails etc after a deep clean of the house this evening. Getting back on track!

MangoLove · 19/09/2024 19:55

I've convinced myself to commit to a Feminine Friday - and I'm bizarrely quite excited😍

Tomorrow being the first Friday in this new challenge, I'm hoping to wear a dress and properly get ready before I leave the house to the school run. I might also take myself on a 'Hot Girl Walk', sit in a coffee shop and read a book. Hair is still wild, but I'll work with it!

GameOfJones · 19/09/2024 20:47

✅ Vitamins taken
✅ 16-8 fasting
✅ Home cooked dinner every evening (with veg)
✅ Gradual tan applied

❌ Still need to tidy up nails
❌ Need to increase my water intake

Bohomovies · 19/09/2024 22:33

✔️I’ve just made a huge pan of lentil and vegetable soup, and have frozen some portions of it. I find it easier to eat healthily when I organise in advance.

✖️still need to drink a LOT more water though.

JungleMama · 19/09/2024 23:04

May I join please?

I've never been princessy but I'd like to start taking better care of if myself and this seems like a lovely way to start! I have strong demand avoidance issues so I'll begin by committing to one unplanned regal act each day.

Today's will be logging off and going to bed now instead of in the godforsaken early hours!

waves regally as she passes by

GameOfJones · 20/09/2024 07:54

Ok so last night I neatened up my fingernails as I sat watching TV. Just pushed my cuticles back, filed them and then painted on nail hardener so they are neat and tidy. It's amazing how 5 minutes can make you feel so much better.

I've put the file, cuticle pusher and nail hardener in a little bowl on the table next to where I sit on the sofa (along with my hand and foot creams and a lip balm) so I have no excuse not to spend a few mins on some self care in the evenings.

UpUpUpU · 20/09/2024 09:09

I have just arrived at swimming 🏊
I have done my teeth routine and moisturised my face. Will do my full facial skincare after my swim.
I’ve got everything out and ready for a pedicure when I get home too.

Planning a long swim followed by the steam room and jacuzzi then a chill afternoon.

Still need to take my gels off that are about 6 weeks old! Will update with neater nails this evening 😬

henlake7 · 20/09/2024 09:40

Can I hop on board?
I feel like Ive def gotten more 'princessy' this last year thanks to some lifestyle changes (gained peri but lost PMDD which turned out to be a really good deal! LOL😅).

to continue-
-pilates x2 per wk
-weight training x3 per wk
-cardio x5 per wk
-healthy eating
-AM/PM skincare and teeth
-daily make up and care around outfits
-regular supplements

to start-
-regular shaving (even the bits people cant see!)
-regular haircuts and eyebrow waxing
-daily walk (sadly cant count the 3 daily dog walks as they are all geriatric and its barely walking at all!!LOL)
-'try' and drink less coffee and more water
-lose 8Ib (would be the end of an epic 2yr diet)

Yesterday I put on my make up, perfume and a beautiful Joe Brown swishy maxi dress.....my only plans for the day were a trip to Sainsburys but I truly did feel like a princess!
worth it!😁
