Many brands, highstreet, mid market, high fashion, avant garde, etc, etc, etc, make clothes up to 18 and 20.

If I were you I wouldn't be looking at Yours, etc.

Oceangreyscale · 18/08/2024 23:00

Rixo do large sizes, if you can afford the prices. Or look at 2nd hand?
Also ASOS.

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 18/08/2024 23:00

Mango
reformation (budget dependent)

most high st go up to an 18 at least on line now

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 18/08/2024 23:01

Random selection of brands that do size 18

Nobody's Child
Palava
Batsheva
Max Mara
Sister Jane
Oska
Anthropologie

MrTwatchester · 18/08/2024 23:10

Cos and Arket's sizing is very generous - made for Scandi women with Viking proportions I suppose. Their 44 is a UK 18 in most items.

anonhop · 18/08/2024 23:13

I'd find brands whose style you like even if expensive & then look for those second hand x

But most brands at all price levels go up to size 18.

Vergeofbreakdown23 · 18/08/2024 23:24

Shein curve section on their main site. I've been pleasantly surprised by how good their sizes are.
New look used to have a plus size section
ASOS
Boohoo I think too 👍

SecretRed · 18/08/2024 23:26

H&M is great for plus sized clothes

Yes this. I don't know why you would need to be looking specifically at plus size brands, pretty much everywhere goes up to 18 don't they?

Also, with the oversize styles that are around at the moment, a lot of clothes are sized broadly - M/L, L/XL.

SD1978 · 19/08/2024 00:06

Everyone does size 18, juts not necessarily on the shop floor- so whatever you like, you can buy online. No idea what your style is- I like fat face, crew clothing company, and all high street brands.

Mumof1andacat · 19/08/2024 00:20

I follow a few plus size fashion influencers on Instagram. Popular brands are george at asda, asos curve range and new look. They tend to order online.

Whatwear · 19/08/2024 10:50

Because standard shops not aimed at plus size women cater to flat stomachd i tried on a jumpsuit it didn't fit OK at all looked like this they have ni stretch in. There clothes at all thid a size 18 doesn't do anything for my body at all they aren't cut for bigger bodies even though the label says size 18

This is what standard High Street clothes look like on plus size women not flattering at all not nasty comments I'm back on healthy eating today I'm trying to lose the weight..

I need clothing to hide my stomach rolls but needs to be fashionable at my age.

Lentilweaver · 19/08/2024 10:56

Two things:
Vanity sizing
Those jumpsuits are not very nice, and they wouldnt look nice on anyone.

mumonthehill · 19/08/2024 10:57

All suggestions are good but as you say some size 18 will not be suitable for your shape. I wear Cos a lot and it suits me. At size 18 no jumpsuit would be flattering on me. h and M also great and i wear loads from there. Next also worth a look and their sale online always throws something up.

Whatwear · 19/08/2024 11:00

Il have a look someone had to. Come up with something to fit bigger bodies that fashionable iv noticed everything for plus size is very dark colours or floral patterns nothing pretty.

Onthegrid · 19/08/2024 11:02

Try Live Unlimited the fit is great for curvy shapes, I know because that describes me.
My only concern would be that it is too “old” for you. I can also shop at white stuff and Monsoon.

Whatwear · 19/08/2024 11:03

Thank there's some nice bits if i look carefully but it's not in my price range i don't have that sort of money to spend on clothes sadly :(

I'm a size 18 and shop at George, Matalan, new look and primark and the odd bit of something else. I get hush from vinted

I avoid Jump suits as they are really difficult to wear and fit. I wear skirts and tops instead and culottes. Shorts and t shirts

Right now I have on tevas, miley denim
shorts from Asda and new look striped top.

You have gorgeous shoulders, collar bone and décolleté.

I spend a lot of time shopping and trying on and returning as things are much tricker to fit on bigger bodies.

Which shop is that?
