@ferretface you are making me really want this kit! Which I definitely don’t need and have no drop vouchers left as got the sleep kit.

Blisterly · 02/11/2024 09:15

I caved and got the scent kit. My husband loved the last one and as it’s his birthday and Christmas coming up, I’m going to wrap some up as stocking fillers.

I've tried a lot of these- I think it's an incredible kit tbh, ended up buying it entirely with accumulated BD funds and vouchers so very happy!

The only criticism of it is that there are two pairs of scents (Dear Polly/Ghost of Tom and I Don't Know What/M+ Ginger) which are close to each other.

Not tried the Hera but sounds promising, people comparing it to Scherzo.
Matiere Premiere vanilla - it's a high quality coconut vanilla
Perfumer H Rain Cloud - smells like a sophisticated version of L'Occitane Intensive Repair shampoo and conditioner - this is a good thing. Light orange blossom and angelica.
Perfumer H Ink - Smells like a moneyed academic from a WASP background :) The Perfumer H scents are expensive so these two make up a lot of the value of the bag. You can only get them in the discovery set or full sizes usually. They are simultaneously light and expensive smelling, very sophisticated.
Vilhelm Dear Polly and Ghost of Tom are both black tea scents.
DS and Durga I Don't Know What and the Escentric Molecules are both Iso E super based scents, they will dry down into a light spicy woody scent which comes in and out of your awareness. The Escentric Molecules has a realistic but fleeting ginger.

Haven't tried the Air de Bretagne or the Tobacco Veloute but they both sound intriguing.

This is so helpful!
I genuinely do not need any more perfume, possibly ever, but looks like I’m getting the scent kit!

Christmas us only me and my mum so I'm tempted with the crackers, I've had nars beauty in the past
I'd rather something like this than plastic tat
Has anyone seen any other decent beauty crackers?

SpaceNK have their beauty crackers out now

Back21970 · 02/11/2024 14:21

I bought the Glam kit - had £40 credit plus a £10 voucher so felt like a bargain.

Arriving today - some nice bits in it I’d like to try and a few others I’ll gift.

I will be cancelling my BD subscription after Christmas as there’s very little Liberty sells that I use now apart from Dermalogica, which is usually cheaper elsewhere.

Have enjoyed it over the last couple of years and it’s been a good opportunity to try things not widely available such as Lisa Eldridge but yet to find any real must haves and prefer Space NK overall.

Anyone know when the best time to cancel is - would quite like the January box but if I cancel after receive if will I be obligated to give notice?

Growlybear83 · 02/11/2024 15:24

My scent kit has just arrived, and I like everything, apart from the bag. I particularly love the Escentric Molecules gingery fragrance.

I think you can just cancel when you want do I'd wait until you've had the next box

TragicMuse · 02/11/2024 17:06

My sleep box has arrived and I ADORE the mini hottie!!

SwordBilledHummingbird · 02/11/2024 17:43

Received my scent kit today. I love the bag and have tried the two Perfumer H perfumes, both of which I love. They remind me very strongly of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab scents (of which I have many). Will spend the next few days trying out the rest.

IDontHateRainbows · 02/11/2024 18:09

Mine arrived too, fast delivery from Liberty. I like the tobacco one and the LBTY here reigns is interesting, think it may grow on me.

Interesting to hear that a PP loved the Perfumer H ones as I was thinking to keep those and sell some of the others. I love the little felt case they come in too.

Also loving the mini size Liberty bag, makes a nice change from the regular size wash bags whi h I already have a few of.

All in all, for £108 (BD member price) this is a steal!

supadupapupascupa · 02/11/2024 18:54

MOON CARNIVAL IS BACK IN STOCK!!!!!
thank you Santa xxxxxxxxxx

supadupapupascupa · 02/11/2024 18:56

I've stuck my Sunday Riley retinol serum on Vinted from my sleep kit as I'm too sensitive. If anyone is looking for a bargain..... haha

Mini hottie is GORGROUS and I'm loving the breathe balm!

BakeOffRewatch · 04/11/2024 14:57

Will Liberty do anymore loyalty discounts events before Christmas? I dithered on the 30% but actually think some of their food gifts are good value. Or does anyone have thoughts on the M&S ones and F&M ones?

I used the Manicurist Active Glow and think it’s lovely, but it has the disadvantage or advantage of catching the eye to my extremely dry hands. Maybe it’ll motivate me to finally stop using soap and use emollient instead and actually look after my hands. It has made me put on washing up gloves even for washing just one thing.

i love the PK anti frizz and especially the smell. But I think it’s the type of product that will make my neck and skin break out.

BakeOffRewatch · 04/11/2024 14:59

Any Reome broth feedback? I’ve stopped using it for a bit, just too busy to do anything except moisturiser and can’t say I’ve missed it. Will be interesting to see if theres improvement visibly when I do use it. I don’t look great at the moment but that’s sleep deprivation, breastfeeding and the related awful diet from feeling constantly ravenous .

I've been using it. I like it, I was on the vit c serums for a bit but fancied a change and my skin can get a bit more tender during the winter months. I don't know if I'd re purchase - so many other serum options - but I do think it's a good serum. Hard to tell what difference it's made to my face as I put that much other stuff on... but it's not made things any worse.

LightandBreezy · 20/10/2024 11:13

Hmm, I just tried the tiny Neurae balm sample - it claims to be relaxing but it's made my skin prickle and turn red, and the product has pilled which is annoying. Didn't use it with the serum as I didn't read the instructions but this is definitely not for me!

I’ve just tried this, alongside the serum. It’s pilled on my skin as well. I notice it’s made by Sisley, and I normally like their products.

LightandBreezy · 04/11/2024 22:20

@Another76543 yeah I've never had a problem which anything from Sisley either and I really like the texture of their moisturisers. I did go into Liberty and they had promotion on at Neurae where they popped a headband with sensors on your head and it drew a map of your emotions - it was unclear to me what this had to do with the products though! But I did try a different one of their balms and had no reaction or pilling.

VirginiaCreepers · 05/11/2024 17:58

@ferretface - thanks for your run through of the Liberty scent kit that tipped the balance for me into buying. It arrived today and I really like the few I've tried so far.

supadupapupascupa · 05/11/2024 18:18

My moon carnival just arrived. I've wanted it ever since it went out of stock after a sample was included in one of the early beauty drops boxes. Had a squirt, not it's going away for Xmas. So many of us wanted this at the time!!!!

It's lovely isn't it.very impressed with the Hera Reigns and the tobacco velout.

OvaHere · 05/11/2024 21:20

I'm a relatively newbie to the beauty drop and am really enjoying it so far. I was wondering whether they ever include any of the nice toiletry bags or make up pouches as part of a box?

Addictedtobeauty · 05/11/2024 22:11

@supadupapupascupa I loved Moon Carnival in that beauty box. I’m jealous of your purchase but now have far too many scents to justify a full bottle.
@OvaHere I’ve never had a Liberty wash bag as part of the Beauty drop and have been a subscriber for over two years.

There was one in the very first box but I doubt there will ever be another one. The kits and gifts with purchase include them.

supadupapupascupa · 05/11/2024 22:12

The very first box had a washbag. Not been one since.......
