Politics aside, but is this hideous and not best for her frame, or is it me?^^

It was a tough moment, I always feel for politicians' wives. It's tricky!

I don’t like the dress. It’s like one of those ‘THIS is THE dress of the season!’ Boden dresses that then ends up up 20 quid in the sale because nobody bought it.

I didn’t like Victoria Starmer’s dress, either. Flutter sleeves <shudder>.

However, that’s me speaking on my personal taste. Both women looked lovely. Confident, stylish in their own way, well presented.

OP, in answer to your question - I like the dress but agree with the comment about the pattern matching. Could have been done better. As a short person, I like a bold dress even though I’ve been told it isn’t great for my frame. I don’t care because I like pattern too much.

It's a kind of FU dress, you might see someone wear to a wedding where they totally hated the bride and weren't trying to hide it.

I thought it was totally inappropriate for the occasion (husband, ex prime minister, making a historic exit speech), but then again it is quite emblematic of how totally clueless and self serving the Tory government has been... I suppose it could work as a performative art piece.

I imagine a big argument ensuing later, at home, with Akshata angrily telling Rishi 'How dare you! I'm docking your pocket money!'

If I could pull this dress off I so would wear it. Love the loud and brash of it. My boobs would be too big for it however. She looks good.

I didn't like Angela Rayner's suit either but having looked at Me + Em, it looks terrible on the model as well.

It looks like it doesn't fit properly. It seems too big.
Obviously she likes it but she usually dresses loads better than this IMO.

I quite like it. It looks better from a distance though looking at the whole dress. The high, busy, neck line isn’t really flattering for a close up. If she was smiling and animated it’d be different. Tricky occasion to dress for.

Eye catching, but not flattering. Overwhelms her I think, and I really dislike white shoes on anyone unless they are getting married.

Money can't buy taste or style this is a very hideous looking dress it looks like a giant tent also I'd of thought she would have choosen something nicer fitted at least.

I disagree with criticizing what others are wearing. People should mind their own business.
