Politics aside, but is this hideous and not best for her frame, or is it me?^^

Bloody Great Male Renunciation, it did nothing for feminism. There’s not much fun to be had dissecting men’s choice of tie pattern and colour.

I like it. I think it looks great on her and entirely suitable for the occasion. Doubt she cares what i think though, and neither should she!

Rosscameasdoody · 07/07/2024 12:55

Wouldn’t be my choice but each to their own. And this is the point isn’t it ? She does have all the money in the world and chose to wear this. So she must like it.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 07/07/2024 12:56

I loved the dress. She looked lovely and was patriotic.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 07/07/2024 12:56

A pretty face would look good in a dish cloth, as my granny would say.

The obvious symbolism of the dress is fine but a small part of me would like to have seen her borrow the Queen's EU flag hat to wear with it just to keep people guessing about what she really thinks.

Onemoreterm · 07/07/2024 12:57

So @sunshinegrey what is your recommendation? What should she have worn? Old potato sack? All black outfit with veil? Californian designer outfit? Indian national dress?

CoastalCalm · 07/07/2024 12:57

I really like it apart from the chevron front panel

notprincehamlet · 07/07/2024 12:57

It's an occasion that calls for a statement dress. And that's a statement dress. Also if she spins round in it really fast maybe the pattern spells out Up Yours Keir.

AzureBlue99 · 07/07/2024 12:58

I liked the dress.

Sackcloth and ashes as an outward sign of mourning and repentance for the 14 year shitshow her husband and his ilk subjected the UK to.

Pity she wasn’t as patriotic when it came to paying taxes.

DCINightingale · 07/07/2024 13:03

I loved it, bold and striking. I thought she looked great and it suited her very well. Also thought Lady Starmer looked lovely on Friday too.

HereForTheFreeLunch · 07/07/2024 13:03

I liked the dress when she was moving. Standing still it looked odd to me - but then that's the situation too.

Not one I would have bought... but all this talk made me look it up. An interesting Indian designer with a lot of 'out there' clothes - https://www.ka-sha.com/

and as this is style and beauty... this is my favourite... https://www.ka-sha.com/collections/saral

Was it Hermes or something?

I bet it was a Fox one. They are handmade to order

That's a visual assault - A migraine~ inducing bash to the senses.

Aggressive patterns, like camouflage on Battleships.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 07/07/2024 13:04

I would like it as a skirt with a white top. Usually I like what she wears, she had a great navy blue outfit at the coronation I think.

sentfrmmyiphone · 07/07/2024 13:04

Who cares what other people wear! Mind your own business

LlynTegid · 07/07/2024 13:05

I would not but that is my choice, and I respect that of the former Prime Minister's wife.

If you think that is bad you must live abroad or never visit anywhere in the UK.

blackandwhitestripes · 07/07/2024 13:07

Let's post about what all the men were wearing?

I'm so bloody sick of the hate towards women on TV, films, politics and what they wear.

And have come to realise it's not men that drag down and hold back women in our country, it's women.

quantumbutterfly · 07/07/2024 13:10

I think she looks lovely in all the pics I've seen, very enviable figure too.

I wonder if she chooses her own clothes or has a stylist. So many women in the public eye don't have confidence in their own taste because they get slated for their appearance in a way that men never do.

SurferRona · 07/07/2024 13:10

Loved Akshata’s dress, but thought this one on Lucia Hunt was stunning!

HazelBite · 07/07/2024 13:10

Well it wouldn't do if we all liked the same thing, we would be all walking around looking like clones!
Personally I think that dress is absolutely hideous, but then Mrs Sunak would probably think that some of my clothes were hideous too!
