I need a killer dress for day/night

I’m a size 16, I’m going to a day thing that will go on into the night. Party vibes. I’m 49 so it’s a group going out for a 50th.

Budget is up to £150.

I carry my weight on my stomach so sometimes that goes into an 18 dependent on how hormonal I am.

Im going with a bunch of women where I constantly feel judged. I can’t not go. So need some help! It’s in October. Help!

Not helpful but there are some horrors being suggested, especially for someone who is 5'3

The dress posters find hilarious is a lot nicer than just about every other dress suggested apart from the Cos and the Kemi one. Having looked at the site it came from there are nicer dresses than the one picked by the poster.

Each to their own etc, etc but there some absolute horrors on here- the Scarlett and Jo stuff is just awful.

My pick, which I expect will also get laughed at would be something from here. In real life these dresses get loads of compliments.

I like both of them. The Desigual one is interesting. It might puzzle the judgy people as the pattern is a bit left field.

I don't like sequins or velvet or shiny fabrics myself, so for me a killer dress means a bit of colour or movement.

Lovely dress. I agree re shiny material and sequins but would make an exception for the black beaded version.

I have this but in black. I'm a 16/18 with big boobs & tummy. I brought a plunge bra to go with it. It's SO flattering!! It's not a plunging as it lol a on the pic. Thick and stretchy. Seriously worth trying xx

My honest opinion is this will only look good if you have a flat stomach. It's also a bit try-hard for daytime. I think you could do better

Sorry, I am not criticising it because of your size. I just don't like super shiny and clingy dresses. In my opinion, I don't think it looks good even on the model.
