Hate designer items that are too obvious.

I love it!

I normally find logos tacky but that one is so in your face and over the top that it completely works. It is similar to the way bright yellow Crocs are cool but any of the more muted colours are dreadful.

Just no.

Asking on MN is a bit strange it's a different demographic. It's a fun bag for a teenager/early 20's.

Buying brand emblazoned goods is not rebelllion! Quite the opposite. It is the ultimate fashion conformity.

I like VW and many of the clothes. But not that bag.

Incredibly tacky but probably good quality.

Love luxury bags but this is a hard no from me. Its nothing special at all. It's leather with a name. No amazing detail or design ..just plain leather bag. Can get those anywhere without the name much cheaper.

Not keen on bags with big branding all over them. Doesn't say anything about VW. I prefer the Derby bags.

It sounds like the OP's daughter likes it and the OP doesn't. If the daughter (or someone) is willing to spend £400 on a bag and that's what she wants then she should go with that.

If she's in her teens/ early 20s she's going to have different opinions on what's nice than the usual demographic of Mumsnet however fashionable they think they are (I say 'they' as I know I'm not fashionable, I never have been)

I've bought one thing from VW and it was such poor quality that it's not a brand that I would buy from again.

I don’t like it, but I’m more interested in how much of the £400 is paid to the Kenyan workers.

I've heard the jewellery is pretty rubbish quality. I have a couple of the drunken shirts and a tshirt, and they are well made and are good quality.
