DD and I have differing opinions- what do you think? What would it say about the wearer?

Much nicer Vivienne Westwood bags out there. That looks like something you'd get from one of those guys on a beach on your holiday.

If I saw a teen carrying that around here I'd assume it was Fake. As it's for a teen I'd not judge the ma-hoo-sive name emblazoned on it too harshly. We all make fashion mistakes when younger; ds has a £10 "gucci" baseball cap that the thinks is the bees knees.

Assume its the fake you are buying? Or you are loaded? I really hate the carrier bag with designer name emblazoned on. Tacky. Why not get any other carrier bag?

The cynical wokeness turned me off even more than the bag which isn't to my taste. £400? I've seen better in the M&S bags for life selection (Yinka Ilori was less than a tenner)

I just can't stand logos on anything so having VW in size 80 font, nope thanks.

The colour is rather obnoxious and it's too branded for my taste.

My thoughts would be it’s been made for £10 and sold For £11 to VW who then sell it for £400 because I know that’s how that brand (and many Others) operate.

I'd feel like a walking advert using it. I used to spend a lot on branded clothing and accessories when I was younger and really into fashion but I never really got the point of a bog standard bag/t-shirt with a massive logo on it. It's really unimaginative and boring when you could get something more unusual for the price.

Over priced, ugly, garish

Not for me, if I was given one, I'd sell it.

I think the leather looks good and it's a good enough chuck-everything-in-to-it bag but the writing on it ruins it for me. Would have to be plain and a third of the price for me to consider it.

It's about the most boring thing one could buy from Westwood, IMO.

I read all the comments before I looked at the bag and it's not as bad as I was imagining. I wouldn't buy it for that price but I like the colours and the style of logo although it is a bit big. The other bags linked are worse IMO and it's way nicer than the fugly Longchamp La Pliage or LV neverful that are often coveted on here.

Some of these comments are just so OTT. If you don’t like something just say, the vitriol is just so unnecessary. Honestly some of the fashion choices on her have been so horrific, mumsnet is the last place on gods green earth that I’d come to for fashion advice.

its not the absolute best, you can get bags from JW Pei or possibly Jacquemus for not much more and they’re much cooler brands. Or maybe Chloe even? How old is your DD? I remember thinking VW was the absolute dream when I was about 21 so it might be age appropriate for a designer bag.

also, unless you’re Audrey Hepburn incarnate which I highly doubt maybe lay off a bit.
